Each student is required to submit a 2-page summary paper about a movie that addresses a social justice issue for example, poverty, LGBTQ, exploitation, victimization, economic & race inequity and other social issues. You may choose one from the following movies Selma or  A Seat at the Table, (documentary),. If you have identified another movie that is not on this list, please consult with instructor and be prepared to provide instructor with the movie trailer link so that other classmates may view this option.
You must discuss the impact of the social injustice observed in the film. Explain why this issue has had a positive or negative impact on society. What were the key elements in the film that drove social change? Did change really occur? Who were the leaders that stood up for social change or social justice and how did their leadership bring harm or resolve to others? If you were the leader of a movement pertaining to the film’s issue, how would you address it?Â
