Wednesday we’ll have our second writing assignment: each of you will write a conflict resolution scenario relating to the Israel-Palestine conflict. The procedure for taking it will be the same as for the policy brief in-class assignment. The main difference is that you will follow the conflict resolution 5-step procedure described in my lectures.Though you’ll have an overall resolution to the Israel Palestine conflict, you will be asked to show how it will resolve one of three aspects of the conflict: the settlements, Jerusalem, or the wall. At the beginning of my announcements on zoom I will tell you which one you should focus on (only one, not all three). So although you can think about what you want your overall resolution to be — one state, two states, confederation, or some other solution — you won’t know which issue to focus on until I announce it. So you cannot write the policy brief in advance and just upload it to the site.
