Background:In honor of the 30th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act, ABILITY Magazine interviewed 30+ thought leaders in the disability community. Interviewees were asked to share about their experiences of being discriminated against prior to the ADA; how the ADA has affected their life and access; and how the ADA needs to be improved. Learning Objectives: Students will compare and contrast various disability perspectives and experiences within the disability community based on 2 of the listed interviews. Students will apply concepts taught in this course to the content of the interviews they have selected.Students will elaborate on their understanding of the disability experience, as well as any shifts, confusion, or wonderings brought about by the interviews.Assignment Content Requirements:You are required to watch 2 interviews from ABILITY Magazine’s ADA30 Summit in celebration of the Americans with Disabilities Act listed below.
