Successful teams are essential to the prosperous growth of an organization. As businesses continue to expand today, organizations may find it beneficial to consider implementing any of the various types of teams, such as high-performance, self-directed, virtual, or cross-functional within the workplace. Of course before deciding which type of team would be best for your organization, many factors must be considered. For instance, how does individual behavior impact team success? How is team performance measured? What are the success factors for each type of team?
Many companies go to extreme measures to ensure that their employees are comfortable within the workplace. Some have even gone so far as developing creative team building exercises to encourage a productive team atmosphere. Consider how companies use creative techniques to build trust, strengthen relationships, and foster teamwork.
This week we will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of operating in a team environment. Select a team type using the table below.
Prepare a paper in which you expand upon the following points:

Include at least one original idea that      supports your argument.
Include at least one idea from your research      that opposes your argument.
