This assignment will also help you to become familiar with the following important content knowledge in this discipline: 
Course Objective 1: Analyze and discuss disability as a socially, medically and culturally determined construct.
Tasks

Spend some time one evening reflecting on your day. Select one ordinary task from your day that you can describe in detail (for example, bake a cake, responded to emails, walk the dog).
Remember the specific steps you had to perform. Be specific and detailed.  For example, if you chose baking a cake, imagine yourself in the kitchen and recall the specific steps you had to perform (Opening the recipe book, locating the recipe, reading the recipe, Opening the cabinet, reaching for the flour on the top shelf, closing the cabinet, opening the fridge, reaching for the milk, closing the fridge, etc.).
Select a disability from the list below.

A mobility disability that requires you use a wheelchair
A visual impairment that requires you use a white cane or have a service dog
A hearing impairment that requires you use sign language

Thinking about what you know about that disability, write a reflection about the activity you completed. Use the following questions to guide your reflection:
What task did you do?
Where were you?
How did you get there?
What activities did you perform to complete the task?
What about the environment made accomplishing your task easier or more challenging?
How would having the disability change how you completed the task?
What would need to adjust in your environment, what supports might you need be independent?  
Would you need any specialized equipment or technology supports?
Could you do it alone, or would you need help?
Did this experience change your opinion of your environment or people with disabilities?
