examine the rhetorical situation and appeals used in an article from Acting Out Culture. Specifically, you’ll identify the rhetorical devices the author of the article uses to make his or her argument and appeal to their audience and explain how they are intended to be effective. You’ll also examine the context for the writer’s argument by questioning the author, audience, genre, context, and the argument itself. The goal of this assignment is to develop and demonstrate your critical reading skills so that you are not simply consumers of information around you but are also engaging in a thoughtful critique of it.
