Question 1You are a financial analyst for the Waffle Company. The director of capital budgeting has asked you to analyze two proposed capital investments, Projects A and B. Each project has a cost of $50,000, and the cost of capital for each is 10%.The projects’ expected net cash flows are as follows: Expected Net Cash FlowsYearProject AProject B0($50,000)($50,000)125,00015,000220,00015,000310,00015,00045,00015,00055,00015,000Calculate each project’s payback period, net present value (NPV), internal rate of return (IRR), modified internal rate of return (MIRR), and profitability index (PI).Which project will you select if your decision was based solely on the project’s payback period?Which project or projects should be accepted if they are independent?Which project should be accepted if they are mutually exclusive?d. How might a change in the cost of capital produce a conflict between the NPV and IRR rankings of these two projects? Would this conflict exist if r were 6%? (Hint: Plot the NPV profiles.)Question 2Marvin Industries must choose between an electric-powered and a coal-powered forklift machine for its factory. Because both machines perform the same function, the firm will choose only one. (They are mutually exclusive investments.) The electric-powered machine will cost more, but it will be less expensive to operate; it will cost $102,000, whereas the coal-powered machine will cost $69,500. The cost of capital that applies to both investments is 10%. The life for both types of machines is estimated to be 6 years, during which time the net cash flows for the electric-powered machine will be $26,150 per year, and those for the coal-powered machine will be $20,000 per year. Annual net cash flows include depreciation expenses.Calculate the NPV and IRR for each type of machine, and decide which to recommend.
solved ‘Tesla and its flamboyant, and sometimes erratic, innovator Elon Musk
/in /by admin‘Tesla and its flamboyant, and sometimes erratic, innovator Elon Musk have turned the more than a century old industry upside down in a mere 16 years. Traditional automakers are ill prepared to compete in today’s software-centered world. Unlike nimble Tesla, they are big, bureaucratic, slow to respond to customers, dependent on providing customer financing for unit sales growth, and culturally different from a software company. Tesla’s speed in innovation in the market for high-end vehicles is more like a Google or an Amazon than an automaker. And its soaring market valuation is a clear sign to all automakers that they’ll need to develop more innovative, Tesla-like business models in order to survive.’

‘Tesla’s cars had rapidly attracted a large and loyal fan base, and sales were growing at an impressive rate. However, designing and launching multiple major car platforms while building a large-scale battery company, a network of charging stations, and operating Solar City was a lot for a company to take on in its first fifteen years. This left some analysts scratching their heads. Was Tesla trying to do too much too quickly?’  Â

/in /by adminThroughout the course you encountered a number of different moral theories. While you had enough exposure in the first few weeks to build a moral compass, you have had more time to get to know the theories better and may be morally motivated by a different primary theory or set of theories than you used for the week three assignment. The goal here is to pick just one theory you feel is a “best guide†for moral behavior. Then you are to create an Infographic promoting that theory, either on its own or by comparing it to other theories. Consider yourself as being in marketing and you are trying to convince others to choose your theory. Describe situations where this theory provides good guidance. Focus on the positives (i.e. consequentialist theories allow you flexibility while treating everyone equally, non consequentialist theories provide solid rules to follow and proper justification, virtue theories focus on the person and not the action, etc.)Details:Using one of the following programs, create an infographic that promotes your theory in a convincing way as an ideal guide for future moral decisions. https://piktochart.com/ https://www.visme.co/ https://prezi.com/ or MS PowerPointHave fun and try to be creative. It is not bad to display some of the negatives, but the goal here is to promote your theory.Be sure you submit as a PDF or that the link works (send to others to see if they can open it). Keep in mind if your instructor cannot see it, he or she cannot assess it.Please do not purchase an subscription, unless you want to, and do not submit anything one needs a paid subscription to see. Again, if free viewing is not possible, it will not be graded.Lastly, when using resources, be sure to have a citation where the information is used on the presentation and include a references/works cited section at the bottom.

/in /by adminCreate and Curate Your Own Art Museum
This assignment is an alternative option for visiting a museum or art gallery. For this paper, you will select and curate a minimum of 5–10 works of art by 5–10 different artists to include in your own art museum. Use your textbook and online sources to help you find these works of art. A good resource for this assignment is the Google Arts and Culture website from the Google Cultural Institute. Here you can immerse yourself in cultural experiences across art, history and wonders of the world—from more than a thousand museums across 70 countries.
Assignment Instructions
Write a 2–3 page report, 500–750 words that describes your experience.
Select a minimum of 5–10 works of art by 5–10 different artists, from different time periods discussed in the text (Ancient Times to the year 1600).
Clearly identify the location of the museum and your initial reaction when exploring the artwork in the online museum or gallery.
Provide a description and summary of at least 5–10 works of art by 5–10 different artists.
Include a screenshot of each piece.
Explain your initial reaction to the artwork you selected and explain why you chose each piece.
Describe the role of museum founder and curator.
Use the class text as a reference (additional sources are fine, but not necessary unless required by your content). Your report should include connections you make between things observed in your activity and things learned in the course and text.
Note: The same rubric will be used for both Options 1 and 2. In one section of the rubric, you are graded on your discussion of the role of the founder and curator of the museum. For Option 1, you will likely find this information on the museum web page or museum materials. For Option 2, the roles of museum founder and curator are held by you.

/in /by adminAs you’ve learned in this module, early adulthood is an important stage in our development. As we transition into adult life, many challenges await us. For many of us, this in the time that we begin the search for lasting relationships, including our potential marriage partner. However, there is some debate over whether or not emerging adults are ready for such a long-term commitment.Read New Research Says Living Together Before Marriage Doesn’t Lead To Divorce. For decades the research on cohabitating has been dismal, but recent studies paint a different picture. The author of this article states that, “[t]he problem is that the couples are settling down at an earlier age, and settling down too young is what leads to divorce.†Do you agree? Now that you’ve had a chance to read about the potential long term effects of cohabitating, reflect on pros and cons before completing the discussion that follows. For your initial post in this discussion, respond to each of the following prompts:Explain your position on cohabitation before marriage (either for or against) during early adulthood.Defend your position with information about the social development and maturity of this age group.Would your position change if the cohabitants were in their 60’s? Explain.Make sure to back up your position with facts from the module Learning Activities as well as your own research on cohabitation. You may also use anecdotal examples from your own life experience, but make sure to focus mostly on current research and facts. Cite any outside sources used. After completing your initial post, respond to at least ONE of your classmates’ posts. In your responses, critique the position of a classmate who defended the opposite argument. Offer insight into your position and provide additional factors that they may have failed to consider.

One of the first uses of a heat map as a form of data visualization is also one of history’s most impactful. In the mid-1800s, there was a worldwide cholera pandemic. Scientists were desperate to determine the cause to put a stop to the pandemic, and one of those scientists, John Snow, studied a particular London neighborhood that was suffering from a large number of cholera cases in 1854. Snow created a map of the outbreak that included small bar charts on the streets indicating the number of people affected by the disease across different locations in the neighborhood. He suspected that the outbreak was linked to water, so he also drew small crosses on the map to indicate water sources. Through this visualization, Snow was able to identify that the people who were dying nearly all had one thing in common—they were drinking out of the same water source. This led to the discovery of cholera being conveyed through contaminated water. Exhibit 4-1A shows Snow’s 1854 cholera map. Software and methods for creating heat maps to visualize epidemics have improved since 1854, but the purpose still exists. Using heat maps to visualize clusters of people impacted by epidemics helps researchers, health professionals, and policymakers identify patterns and ultimately inform decisions about how to resolve epidemics. Without Snow’s hypotheses, methods for testing it, and ultimately communicating the results through data visualization, the 1854 cholera outbreak would have continued with scientists still being uncertain of the cause.Unfortunately, poor data visualizations are used. Google images for “Worst Visualizations†or “Biased Bar Charts†or similar searches. Provide a screenshot of your finding and explain why it’s a bad visualization.

Studying the Hymn Text in Phil. 2:5-11.
The beautiful early Christian hymn text found in Phil. 2:5-11 is considered the central focus of Paul’s letter to the Philippians. (See Philippians video from Week 1 and the 1st LASB Explanatory note for Phil 2:5-11.)
This is a 2-part assignment:Â
Part 1: For the first part of this assignment, you will read Phil. 2:5-11, including all LASB Cross-reference notes and Explanatory notes. Â These notes will help you as you write the first part of this assignment. Choose two of the five options below, and address those questions in paragraph form:
As an introduction to this hymn, Paul admonishes the Philippians, “In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus.†Do a word search in several Bible translations to understand this phrase and the word “mindset†used in this passage. Compare and contrast other words and phrases used in various translations. How does this apply to your life?Â
In relation to this hymn, what do you think it means to “have the same mindset as Christ Jesusâ€? Compare and contrast this to what you have noted about the character of God in your past RGOs in Question #2. Include all Bible references.Â
Compare and contrast the description of Christ in this hymn text to the suffering servant in Isaiah 53. Be sure to also read the LASB Explanatory notes on Isaiah 53. They will give you insight.Â
According to this hymn text and the LASB Explanatory notes and Cross-reference notes, what does the Bible say about how Christ is identified with God?
Identify and discuss in detail the Megatheme(s) from Philippians that you find in this passage. See Megathemes on the top of the 2nd page of Philippians.Â
Part 2: Now, write your own poem as a reflection of your concept of what it means to have the mindset of Jesus Christ.Â
