The Electoral College was created to protect US citizens against mob rule. Mob rule is the control of a lawful government system by a mass of people through violence and intimidation. However, some Americans question the legitimacy of this process. Pick one election where the outcome of the popular vote and the electoral college vote differed to create an argument in favor of or opposed to the use of the electoral college. List at least three valid points to support your argument. Present you argument in a PowerPoint presentation.
As you complete your presentation, be sure to:

Use speaker’s notes to expand upon the bullet point main ideas on your slides, making references to research and theory with citation.
Proof your work
Use visuals (pictures, video, narration, graphs, etc.) to compliment the text in your presentation and to reinforce your content.
Do not just write a paper and copy chunks of it into each slide. Treat this as if you were going to give this presentation live.

In the last five units, you have researched many different factors that should be considered when trying to choose an intervention strategy that best supports a specific health issue (obesity) within a target population (Hispanic and African Americans). In this unit, you will decide what intervention (behavioral management) would work best for your community. Make sure to address the following items.
Identify the intervention strategy you think is best to introduce to your community in order to change health behavior as it relates to the health issue you chose in Unit I. Make sure to explain the reasoning behind why this strategy was chosen.
State a minimum of one goal with two objectives for the intervention strategy. Remember, the goal will focus on what and the objective will determine how.

Identify the setting in which the intervention will take place (Clinical settings for adults and school for adolescents). Why was this chosen?
Identify community resources needed for the intervention.

Examine the importance of professional associations in nursing. Choose a professional nursing organization that relates to your specialty area, or a specialty area in which you are interested. In a 500 word paper, provide a detailed overview of the organization and its advantages for members. Include the following:Describe the organization and its significance to nurses in the specialty area. Include its purpose, mission, and vision. Describe the overall benefits, or “perks,” of being a member.Explain why it is important for a nurse in this specialty field to network. A patient has been diagnosed with Horner’s syndrome, a disorder that is due to damage of sympathetic nerves that travel to the eye. It occurs unilaterally and results in extreme pupil constriction and reduced sweating on the affected side. The young resident who diagnosed the condition is an autonomics freak and is eager to determine if it is the pre-ganglionic nerve or the post-ganglionic nerve that is damaged. For his determination, he injects acetylcholine, which caused sweating on the affected side, but he sees no change in pupil size. He then injects norepinephrine and the pupil dilates, but no sweating occurs.
Is the pre-synaptic or the post-synaptic neuron damaged? Explain your rationale in detail (in other words, detail how you came to your conclusion). You’re going to have to really think about this one. It’s not something you can look up in the text. You will need to use what you have learned about the autonomic nervous system and some critical thinking to arrive at the answer.
