With “up to a total of 8,000 martech solutions” available to a marketer, it can be challenging determining the right combination of technologies needed to achieve business goals and objectives (Brinker, 2021). Today, “marketers must strategically engineer their marketing stack with a host of solutions that navigate through the noise and deliver solid ROI” (Yu, 2017).HelpSystems can be considered as having a large martech stack already with multiple CRM, analytic, ABM, and even more tools at their fingertips. However, with so many technologies being utilized, it can be hard to determine if this investment in tools is providing a return on the marketing investment. My suggested strategy for HelpSystems would be to first “identify strategy, goals and the most significant metrics that will impact the company’s success” (Yu, 2017). After building this strategy and identifying goals and metrics, the company should evaluate the current stack they already have and identify which technologies the department will continue to use, and which technologies can be improved. After evaluating the current martech stack, the team can evaluate and remove any platform that no longer serves the fundamental needs of the company. Hopefully freeing up some budget, and allowing opportunity for more improvement, HelpSystems can focus on choosing the best tools that integrate with their existing stack.The strategy of building a martech strategy and then identifying if the current martech stack meets their budget constraints and overall business goals would contribute in the business’ success in that it tightens up the stack they already have in place to be more efficient, budget friendly, and improve ROMI. “An effective marketing technology stack uses best-of-breed platforms intelligently, maximizing the individual potential of each technology, thereby creating a system that is greater than the sum of its parts” (Yu, 2017).ReferencesBrinker, S.
