Requirements/Expectations: Students will choose any Canadian or Multinational Company (also operating in Canada) except for those owned by the student or family thereof. They will pick any aspect of operations, as listed below (if the student wishes to research operations not listed below will need prior approval from professor): 1. Forecasting 2. Strategic Operations Planning 3. Service Design 4. Manufacturing Layout 5. Logistics Design 6. Supply Chain Design
7. Vendor Management Criteria 8. Key Performance Indicators/ Metrics and Design in Manufacturing 9. Quality Control Systems in Service or Manufacturing 10. Ordering Protocol and/or Planning for Output Quantities 11. Expansion Planning: Operations 12. Project Management Protocol 13. New Product Development/Commercialization 
Students are expected to use public domain resources to determine how their company of choice conducts one of the above operations-related functions. (Any interviews will require the approval of the ethics committee.) All research will first be collected; and an evaluation will be made by the investigating student as to how well the company manages the investigated processes/functions. A 6–8-page report will be written based on the evaluation. The expected format of the report is as follows:
