To begin, you may create a new document or continue working on your memo writing document. You will craft your ROUGH draft on that document and copy & paste the draft into this discussion board. As you begin your drafting process, you may consider the following questions: Where does the story begin in terms of location, time, who/what are involved? In other words, how do you want to situate your reader? What is the story about? Whose story is it? What is your role as the writer? What sensory details do you want to use for the reader to feel your story? What sources (both interview and secondary sources) have you identified and will you use?What interview quote can you use to bring the story to life? What type of story (Conquering fear/evil, journey, overcoming obstacles, empowerment, cautionary tale, reinvention or renewal, etc.) is it? What tone (intimate, playful, sad, serious, etc.) do you want to adopt? How will you organize the story? Where does it begin and where does it end? Since this is a rough draft, not everything have to be worked out. For example, you can tell your readers your plans about how you will integrate a specific source into a section in parentheses.
