For example, suppose a person is developiing the tendency to act in Hitler-like ways, and is about to become the leader of your country. You fear his becoming the leader and the harm it would cause. But he has as yet commited no actual crime. Do you kill him? A consequentialist might say you should, but a non-consequentialist might argue that you cannot violate his right to life because you believe him likely to commit crimes once in office. This assignment provides you with an opportunity to create a code of ethics for you and your family, as well as to explain the strategies and thought processes that went into developing the code. First, create an original code of ethics for your family by thinking about your family as an organization.
