For me, large writing assignments can be quite daunting. When there is a set page limit, I struggle with staying on topic frequently. I often run out of things to write about before I hit the page limit. It is also a struggle to find good, reliable sources. It can be quite difficult to find credible non-biased sources especially when it comes to professional oriented papers such this upcoming research report.
My best advice would be to have a really solid outline that covers all aspects of your paper before you start writing. By using an outline, it helps you organize all your thoughts on paper and lets you get a rough idea of the shape and feel of your paper so you dont loose the bigger picture. Another solid piece of advice is to have someone besides yourself do a final proofread, its easy as the author to glaze over mis-phrasing that another external reader would be able to pick up easily.

A thing that comes to mind is reliable sources. There is so much information out to see than it use to be. I remember in high school a vast majority of research needed to be done from text books. It was more difficult to read through chapters and chapters to find a quote from an author. Now you can simply use key words to find everything you want. However sources can get diluted with misinformation in combination with what you want to find. You can not always click on the first source and rely heavily on it to be the best option for your research. Another issue I see in research is the way you can manage your time. Often we wait too long to put all phases of a research report together. It can be overwhelming to collect all of the data/statistics, quotes and reliable encounters to form a good foundation of a report. You have to plan ahead and decide your angle to the research. Are you trying to persuade or inform your audience? Once you decide your path you need to make sure you sources are able to support your stance.
