In this essay, you will argue your position on an issue related to your chosen topic.  Your purpose is to convince your reader to consider your position.  You must provide sufficient details, backed by expert opinion, to support your argument.
 
Research:
At least five (5) appropriate and different references must be consulted and documented in MLA style. Sources need to be from the Library Databases. Exact words or paraphrases of other’s ideas obtained from your sources must be properly documented to avoid plagiarism.
Other Requirements:

Use 3rd. person (Objective voice). No 1st. or 2nd. Person pronouns
Clear and focused Thesis Statement that gives the writer’s opinion on the topic
A conclusion that does not simply restate the thesis
Appropriate and sufficient evidence to support the thesis
An appropriate title and sub-title that “capture” the reader’s attention, and adequately reflect the subject, focus, or purpose of the essay
A minimum of grammatical errors.  No spelling errors
Tone appropriate to audience
Clear, concise sentences without redundancies or unnecessary words
