In this assignment you will demonstrate an understanding of Uses and Gratifications Theory and Identity. Your answer will show your ability to label and categorize gratifications as well as deconstructing your own online identity compared to discussions of identity from the lesson.
Procedure
Please address the prompts below in an integrated essay. Instead of having numbered (or listed) question responses please combine your answers into one coherent essay.

Identify two of your favorite media to use. It can be any media that you use for anything. For EACH media talk about 1) why the media is one of your favorites and then 2) identify the gratification you think you MOST get out of using it. The gratification can be one from the reading, the online lesson, or another source (if using another source be sure to cite it).
Using the lesson content about identity talk about your online persona. Your description should include how someone a stranger who found only your online information/social media/etc. might characterize you. If you have no online identity, talk about what that says as well. Be sure to use specific examples from our discussion of identity and specific examples from your online identity.
