Please view the attached questions below for this assignment. I have made a submission already which is attached below, however did NOT receive a good score. I have received a 29.5/30. The professor has provided feedback and allowing a redo. Please correct the questions with the following feedback. (Q1, -5 points) Based on what Tesla claims, they are definitely a differentiator. They are a rapidly-growing force in the high-performance & luxury car segments, and may be getting into delivery-vehicle segments. I don’t see your references, so I don’t know what you were looking at for your conclusions. All that said, I see them as niche (focused) differentiator rather than a broad differentiator. They are having trouble producing enough vehicles for the relatively small line models that they have, so significant expansion into broader buying segments would be quite difficult. They are expanding geographically, but that too has yet to hit significant pace. Everyone pays attention to costs but it remains to be seen that Tesla will be a cost leader per se, certainly not when compared to low-end gasoline model vehicles.(Q2, -5 points) I concur with your Supplier & Substitution points. I have a different point of view about your Threat comment: The companies you cite are aggressively entering Tesla’s core market segment, and others will likely be hot on their heals. More importantly, Tesla’s vision of an ‘electric world’ depends heavily on distributing the installation of charging stations, so in that respect, competition could actually be a good thing. Buyer power is low at the moment, but I think it will increase as competitive products get closer to delivery schedules (soon).(Q3, -10 points) Is Tesla outsourcing any of its value chain? Also, I don’t see your answers to Part B of this question.
