Imagine that you are a special education teacher in a resource room at an elementary school. One of your students is autistic and is having difficulty with understanding and using a specific social skill. The peers in the room are starting to avoid the student due to this behavior and you feel that a social story will help the student make the connection.Write a 2-page social story that explores a social skill for an elementary age child.
Include the following components in your social story:
