Debra reports wanting to quit smoking for her health and so that she can “be around longer for my family.†She is currently smoking 1 pack per day, but reports a history of heavier use a few years ago. Over the past two weeks she has informed her family and friends of her intent to quit smoking, has removed “hidden†packs of cigarettes from her home and work, and has cleaned her house to remove all evidence of her smoking (e.g. cleaned curtains, carpets, etc.).
