Use the questions following the poem to help guide your discussion of it. This poem has a real impact, so use that fact as a selling point to your audience (a reluctant reader).  Further, we often have an experience from our youth that comes to shape the rest of our lives; tapping into this common tendency could serve as an additional connection you can make to/for your reluctant reader audience. Remember that your audience is somebody who needs persuading.  Your thesis branches will be
your points of persuasion.  And on the issue of thesis branches, you should have 4 or 5 branches,
that is 4 or 5 persuasive points as to why that skeptical reader should give your recommended
poem a try. in your introduction you need to be specific about WHO you are talking to in this paper.  WHO is your audience (reader) and WHY does that person dislike poetry?  You MUST answer these questions SPECIFICALLY in the early portion of your introduction. 
And then with your THESIS, you MUST identify SPECIFICALLY how THIS poem will CHANGE THAT READER’S MIND.
