Military units are excellent examples of organizations, and are perfectly acceptable for this assignment, as well.
Assignment Components:
Compare and apply Pepsico’s vision, mission, values, and goals (based on Step 1 in the Module 1 Case Assignment) to the organization you chose for this assignment.
Based on your critical evaluation of Pepsico’s mission, vision, values, and goals (Step 2 in the Module 1 Case Assignment), compare and apply your conclusions to the organization you chose for this assignment, writing specifically about how your organization, in your opinion, compares with Pepsico.
Based on your consideration of changes and needed improvements (from Step 4 in the Module 1 Case Assignment), perform a similar analysis of your chosen organization, comparing the two organizations and determining which one needs more changes.
To round out this assignment, write a section that explores the key differences in the vision, mission, values, and goals of Pepsico and the organization you chose for this assignment, discussing what each organization can learn from the other.

The legal standards governing termination differ substantially depending on whether private-sector and nonunion employees or public-sector and unionized employees are being considered. As the company HR leader, you are accountable to the organization to ensure that all employee terminations are initiated and completed while maintaining strict adherence to current employment laws and EEOC guidelines.

Discuss the differences between pure employment at will and employment at will with exceptions. Do you believe employment at will is fair? If not, what is an alternative?
Briefly describe what the Montana Wrongful Discharge from Employment Act (WDEA) is. What do you see as benefits of this act to employees? Employers?
Identify and discuss a minimum of three actions organizations may want to consider as they seek to handle employee terminations legally.

solved Your task is to write a response to this organization
/in /by adminYour task is to write a response to this organization and to post it on your website as well as your official social media platform sites. Your goal is not to engage in a war of words with this organization, but simply to make it clear that your company values diversity, and that you will continue to portray that diversity in your advertising materials.
Diversity has many dimensions, including the following.
Race and ethnicity
Gender
Sexual orientation
Religion
Ability
Age
These dimensions of diversity are discussed further in Chapter 4 of our textbook. For this assignment, you will respond to one of the following workplace scenarios.
Scenario 1: Challenging Hiring Decision
You are on the hiring committee for a key role in your organization. After a thorough and lengthy process, the committee has narrowed the field to two final candidates: Candidate A and Candidate B. The interview process has concluded, and now it is time to make a decision. Will you hire Candidate A or Candidate B?
Both Candidate A and Candidate B meet all of the requirements for hiring in terms of education and experience. That said, Candidate A went to a more prestigious university than Candidate B, and Candidate A also has slightly more job experience than Candidate B. In the interview process, both candidates answered the questions very well, demonstrating high levels of knowledge. Candidate A was a bit smoother and more confident, but Candidate B occasionally hesitated before responding but also seemed more genuinely enthusiastic. Candidate A is a traditional applicant, and Candidate B is from a historically underrepresented minority.
Later today you will be meeting with the hiring committee to make the final decision. Your task is to write a short message to share with the rest of the hiring committee in which you recommend hiring either Candidate A or Candidate B. Be sure to explain which factors were most important to you.

/in /by adminAssessing Affirmative Action policies
In a 3-4-page paper, explore Affirmative Action as it relates to race and employment or college admissions. Review an organization you are familiar with (it can be your former high school, CSU Global, or another college/university, your current employer, or an organization you would like to work for one day) and assess how well they adhere to Affirmative Action policies.
In your paper, provide an analysis of the debates around Affirmative Action as outlined in your reading as well as in the NCSL (Links to an external site.) website. Do you see these debates reflected in the organization you chose to analyze? As a tip, every organization should have a “statement of Affirmative Action” that is publicly posted on their website. Review the organization’s policy and discuss how well the organization adheres to the policies. Are there areas that come up in your review that indicate issues? What are they?
Although Affirmative Action also impacts women workers, college athletes, and members of other groups, for this assignment, we will only focus on marginalized people of color. If you decide to review a college or university, be sure to consider their admissions policies. This is where you will see whether Affirmative Action policies are followed.
The trick in this assignment is to not choose a side—this is not about your opinion (editorial), rather about your ability to research and understand a policy and how well an organization follows that policy (analysis). If you are at a loss on an organization to choose, you can simply do an Internet search with the words “Affirmative Action and Employment policies” and a number of options will come up for you.
It may be helpful to review Affirmative Action policies regarding education and employment and complete the readings for this week before completing the assignment (Chapter 10.6: “Race Ethnicity in the 21st Century”).

You are caring for an 82-year-old woman who has been hospitalized for several weeks for burns that she sustained on her lower legs during a cooking accident. Before the time of her admission, she lived alone in a small apartment. The patient reported on admission that she has no surviving family. Her support system appears to be other elders who live in her neighborhood. Because of transportation difficulties, most of them are unable to visit frequently. One of her neighbors has reported that she is caring for the patient’s dog, a Yorkshire terrier. As you care for this woman, she begs you to let her friend bring her dog to the hospital. She says that none of the other nurses have listened to her about such a visit. As she asks you about this, she begins to cry and tells you that they have never been separated. You recall that the staff discussed their concern about this woman’s well-being during report that morning. They said that she has been eating very little and seems to be depressed.1. Based on Nightingale’s work, identify specific interventions that you would provide in caring for this patient.2. Describe what action, if any, you would take regarding the patient’s request to see her dog. Discuss the theoretical basis of your decision and action based on your understanding of Nightingale’s work.3. Describe and discuss what nursing diagnoses you would make and what interventions you would initiate to address the patient’s nutritional status and emotional well-being.4. As the patient’s primary nurse, identify and discuss the planning you would undertake regarding her discharge from the hospital. Identify members of the discharge team and their roles in this process. Describe how you would advocate for the patient based on Nightingale’s observations and descriptions of the role of the nurse.

In performing the self-assessment checklist for cultural competence, I scored high on the test. However, cultural competence is a characteristic that those in public health and public service must develop continually. Culture is constantly changing, so the need to keep an open mind and evaluate oneself frequently is a valuable skill to have.Â
I recognize that I am empathetic and tend to be accepting of others. Despite this character, there are times when I am less accepting of people and evaluate someone with a judging eye. Furthermore, I noted that I need to admit that my knowledge of some cultures is limited. This limited understanding must spark an intent in me to understand further any culture to which I have little awareness.Â
Most importantly, I observed in the self-assessment that I must avoid stereotypical thinking, even if done as a silly example or a joke of a particular person or group of people. Working in the stressful positions I have held, joking about situations and people is seen as a release. Most often, these jokes are to release tension. However, even if not believed, these views and thoughts can take root and cause problems and pain for those targeted. Even light-hearted comments about ones’ own culture can cause negative feelings and distrust in others.
Keeping a watchful eye on my feelings and words is key to maintaining a positive and respectful tone with others. Being open and honest with myself and having conversations with others about their feelings and beliefs can help me maintain a receptive character and help me continue my understanding of other cultures.http://rapworkers.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/c…

Vee is a 26-year-old African-American woman who presents with a history of non-suicidal self-injury, specifically cutting her arms and legs, since she was a teenager. She has made two suicide attempts by overdosing on prescribed medications, one as a teenager and one six months ago; she also reports chronic suicidal ideation, explaining that it gives her relief to think about suicide as a “way out.â€
When she is stressed, Vee says that she often “zones out,†even in the middle of conversations or while at work. She states, “I don’t know who Vee really is,†and describes a longstanding pattern of changing her hobbies, style of clothing, and sometimes even her job based on who is in her social group. At times, she thinks that her partner is “the best thing that’s ever happened to me†and will impulsively buy him lavish gifts, send caring text messages, and the like; however, at other times she admits to thinking “I can’t stand him,†and will ignore or lash out at him, including yelling or throwing things. Immediately after doing so, she reports feeling regret and panic at the thought of him leaving her. Vee reports that, before she began dating her current partner, she sometimes engaged in sexual activity with multiple people per week, often with partners whom she did not know.
