I want to find out what you think you learned in this class about the theory vs. the practice of international/global business. You all were assigned to read the textbook, take the exams, and discuss the case studies assigned. We also read and discussed a number of recent media articles on international/global affairs. You also completed a Global Business Plan (GBP), investigating a company and country of your choice.
Complete a three-to-five page essay (target a word count of roughly 1500-2000). This could take the form of a reaction essay or a critical review of your experience studying international/global business, and completing the class assignments, including your GBP project.
Try to compare what our textbook said “in theory” versus the realities of “practice” (as reflected in the case studies, the articles and media you viewed this quarter AND from your experience completing your GBP project).
The central question: How well do the theories and concepts from our textbook match up with the realities (or practice) of doing business internationally or globally? 
If they match up well, discuss why they tend to do so.
If they do not match up well, discuss why they do not, and what we could or should do about doing business better or smarter in the “real world”, given the anomalies of behavior in business and/or the limitations of the concepts, theories, frameworks and checklists available about international/global business. 
To provide examples of facts or evidence of practice in the “real world”, try to quote them. you are welcome to use any articles on international/global business. three main sources: Financial Times, New York Times, and the Economist, but feel free to draw from reputable sources elsewhere, if you prefer.

This creates effective function. Different types of capital include assets and finances. It can be in the form of property or money. It comes in lump sums for start up business or used to continue the function properly. Social capital is important for the work of social entrepreneurs because it helps to build strong relationships within a community as well as coming together to further develop their environments. Social Entrepreneurship, Praszkier and Nowak, page 80R2I feel as if the first stage of development of the vibrant network is most important. The first stage is the enabling structure. This is important because without a solid base to stand on or start from then the rest of the “structure” could fall or become weak. Without the outlet to provide many possibilities then the network would have limited possibilities.R3A social activist is an individual who works to achieve the goal of a social or political change. This can include something as simple as mandating a certain building within the community. An activist can write a letter to petition. As a woman I’ve always learned about Gloria Steinem and she has been a feminist activist and leader for over 4 decades. A social entrepreneur is an individual who builds with the goal in mind that they are going to solve a social problem or something that is effecting a social change. The difference between these two are the goals that they are aiming for. Entrepreneurs address social issues and do things to actually solve it. Activist will address the issues without doing anything or being vocal enough to fix it.

The Array class is optimized for performance and is a type of utility class to make things easier for programmers to consume than understand it’s inner workings. After reviewing the material for this chapter, you should see that not all classes need to be complex like that and it’s actually preferred to have smaller, more understandable classes that any programmer can pick up and understand when reviewing the code for classes written; there are places for complexity and optimization to allow performance in the underlying framework, but most software engineering principles favor simplicity.Since we covered classes in this unit, hopefully some light bulbs flashed on and you can see how beneficial it can be to use classes to be a type of self contained object for it’s data and behaviors.
