Your personal circumstances as related to your financial need for a scholarship ( I will like my financial need to be tied with being the first in my family to attend college and they are all my siblings back home in Africa with my grandparents still alive, coupled with one of the toughest times in my country Nigeria due to inflation, unemployment and high rise of robbery, kidnapping, and terrorism made the whole situation a huge financial burden on me. My wife also has her parents and grandparents. Her father is diabetic and we have to constantly pay for their feeding, medical bills every month which makes it just overwhelming for us here in the United States. We could not fully meet our needs and that of our 3 children due to all of these. I already have $9,000.00 of student loan and I continue to avoid any more loans because I already have other personal loans we took in the past to pay bills in the past. I have thought of dropping out of school but I made a promise to myself to break whatever jynx affected my family that I got extremely intelligent elder brothers and sisters but no finances from my father who was the breadwinner of the family until his death and that of my stepmom and my mom the wives were housewives as that’s kind of African thing, especially during their time).
