I want you to have the opportunity to start thinking like outside human resource management consultant who was called upon to fix a dysfunctional agency or business by creating a realistic and plausible plan to guide the agency’s human resource related strategic activities.  This assignment is a problem-solving paper.
I would like to see you apply a simple problem and solution framework. Â This is a simple six (6) step action plan system that helps organize your human resource management intervention in the organization. Â It is designed to help us quickly understand the pain the client is enduring and to offer recommendations that not only motivate the client to resolve the issue, but also to provide a framework of accountability which will make positive changes a real, practical result.Â
The Six Steps: Applying the following steps to a human resource management challenge would look like the following:
Which human resource management efforts do I want to improve the most?
Why? What will be my pay-off?
What potential obstacles stand in my way?
What are the specific things I will do to improve these human resource management methods?
When will I do them?
How and when will I measure my success?
Basically, I’d like to see you apply this same six (6) step process to a real world human resource management problem faced by a non-profit or for profit organization.Â
Some Expectations: I expect that your paper will incorporate ideas and techniques that you’ve picked up from me, the threaded discussions, and from the reading.  The paper should be written as if would be turned into the management team of the organization.  (This means that you will want to have a cover page, some charts, a table of contents, and a management summary at the beginning so executives don’t have to read the whole report.). NOTE: This will all be written per the APA format in a minimum of 6 pages 1.5 spaced.
