As someone who has interviewed students, counselors, professors, deans, etc., it can be evident who rushed, who turned something in at the last second, who put in the work, who researched the position, and who came in very prepared. Some of the recommendations to prepare for an interview include: bringing 2 pens, bringing a notebook, having questions prepared, bringing copies of your resume, dressing professionally, and practicing some of the common questions and answers beforehand.
