Purpose: The purpose of this project is to demonstrate the student’s ability to design and plan an event from start to finish utilizing each of the components listed below.#1 You have been hired to design and plan an outdoor cultural festival or a seasonal (fall, spring, summer, winter) festival for a local community. I DO WINTER EVENT Vendor Partners – Provide a detailed list of the types of vendor partners that you will need to work with. Do your research (internet search) and include a specific vendor that you plan to use for each category and explain what attracted you to this vendor (e.g. ease of website, offered specialty items or services that others could not offer, person answered the phone right away, prices were reasonable, local vendor, etc.)Site Layout – Create a layout of your event site/floor plan that includes placement of each of the activities as well as restrooms, entrances & exits and any other areas that you feel should be identified (e.g. first aid, registration). Event Risk Management Plan – Clearly identify at least three specific risks that apply to your event. For each of the three risks, carefully explain: 1) why the event is prone to the given risk; 2) the consequences that would occur should the risk be experienced; 3) the strategic steps that will be taken to minimize the risk; and 4) the plan of action that will be put into place if the risk is realized. COVID-19 Protocals – In the case that your event could take place during a spike in COVID-19 cases and government restrictions, how will you ensure that safety and sanitation protocals are in place for your event. What would you do if there are still government restrictions and high community spread?
