I’m working on a psychology exercise and need an explanation and answer to help me learn.

Questions: – Choose only Five:

Distinguish between positive and negative transfer, and give a concrete example of each to illustrate the distinction.
Distinguish between general and specific transfer, and give a concrete example of each to illustrate the distinction. Describe the four perspectives of transfer listed below in terms of their views on general and specific transfer:

Formal discipline
Similarity of stimuli and responses
Information processing
Situated learning

Describe the roles that the following four factors play in problem solving, and illustrate each factor’s role with a concrete example:

Working memory capacity
Encoding processes
Long-term memory retrieval
Metacognition

Describe five different things that teachers can do to facilitate students’ transfer of what is learned in the classroom to real-world situations and problems.
Transfer what you have learned about transfer and problem solving to a professional situation in which you might find yourself. More specifically:

Using either an educational or therapeutic context, describe a specific idea or principle you might want students or clients to apply outside the educational or therapeutic setting. In particular, describe what information you would want them to learn within the educational or therapeutic context, and how you hope they would transfer it in dealing with the outside world.
Explain how your students’ or clients’ success in transferring this information and/or using it to solve problems might be more or less successful depending on: a. How they encode/store the original information, and the extent to which they elaborate on it, b. How they encode/store the transfer/problem-solving situation, and the extent to which they elaborate on that situation

6. Imagine that you are teaching a course in human learning to future teachers. You want students to transfer what they learn in their class to their own teaching practice. Describe three strategies you might use to help students transfer what they learn in your class.
7. Choose a particular content domain (e.g., math, science, history, English literature) and give two examples that critical thinking in that domain might entail. Your examples should reflect two of the following forms of critical thinking:

Verbal reasoning
Argument analysis
Probabilistic reasoning
Hypothesis testing

8. Describe three different strategies you might use to encourage students to engage in critical thinking about a topic. Illustrate each strategy with a concrete example

Hi, my professor failed my paper and I need help revising it to fit her feedback. I have included the original instructions plus my paper and hve attached her feedback. Can you please revise this paper to suit her feedback so that I may gain points and master the assignment?Full instructions attachedDirectionsRepresentative Wright has provided you with all of the information he received from the advocacy or interest groups that he entertained the previous week. This information in available in his email in the Supporting Materials section. In your position paper (750–1,250 words), you will evaluate the arguments of each group, specifically examining their conclusions, premises, assumptions, and evidence. Using your analysis, representative Wright will be able to determine how to take the soundest position on the controversial topic. In your paper, include the following components:A discussion of the common conceptions and misconceptions about the topicWhat is the topic? What are the common conceptions and misconceptions about this topic? What is the context of the topic? Why is the topic a significant issue? What was your own opinion as a consultant prior to conducting research? An identification and description the components of the argumentWhat is the main point or conclusion about the topic? What are the main arguments and subarguments about the topic? What are the premises (reasons for thinking the conclusion is true)? Are there any missing premises? What are the assumptions and biases?A recognition and evaluation of the deductive and inductive argumentsIf the argument is deductive (providing premises that guarantee their conclusions):Is the argument valid? (Are the premises and the conclusions true?)What types of formal and/or informal logical fallacies are used?Is the argument sound? If the argument is inductive (aiming to provide premises that make the conclusion more probable):Is the argument strong (more probable conclusion in light of premises) or weak (less probable conclusion in light of the premises)? What type of argument is used (analogical or causal?)Is the argument defeasible? (Can more information defeat the verdict that the conclusion is well-supported by the premises?)What types of statistical fallacies are used?Resources: https://truthout.org/articles/former-mobil-vp-warns-of-fracking-and-climate-change/https://www.baltimoresun.com/opinion/op-ed/bs-ed-fracking-md-20160628-story.html“The Ethics of Fracking.” Films On Demand, Films Media Group, 2014, fod.infobase.com/PortalPlaylists.aspx?wID=105049&xtid=137749. You are writing an editorial refuting the banning of toys in Happy Meals in Santa Clara county on the basis that McDonald’s practices are not unethical. Rather than concentrating on the health issues, please concentrate on the ethics in your editorial, stating at least two ways in which McDonald’s is not violating the marketing code of ethics. Your post should be completed by 200-300 words.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MnpcsT7iDQkMarketing is:The management process by which goods and services move from concept to the customer. It includes the coordination of four elements called the four P’s of marketing: Identification, selection and development of a product,Determination of its price,Selection of a distribution channel to reach the customer’s place, andDevelopment and implementation of a promotional strategy. For example, new Apple products are developed to include improved applications and systems. The products are set at different prices depending on how much capability the customer desires. They are promoted and sold in places where other Apple products are sold.undefinedWhat is Marketing Ethics? The following principles are good indicators of marketing ethics and should govern your interactions as a marketer:Honesty – Be forthright in dealings and offer value and integrity.Responsibility – Accept consequences of marketing practices and serve the needs of customers of all types, while being good stewards of the environment.Fairness – Balance buyer needs and seller interest fairly, and avoid manipulation in all forms while protecting the information of the consumers.Respect – Acknowledge basic human dignity of all the people involved through efforts to communicate, understand and meet needs and appreciate contributions of others.Transparency – Create a spirit of openness in the practice of marketing through communication, constructive criticism, action, and disclosure.Citizenship – Fulfill all legal, economic, philanthropic and societal responsibilities to all stakeholders as well as giveback to the community and protect the ecological environment.Discussion 2This week we have reflected on responsible marketing. Have you been in a situation where you bought something based on how it was described in the marketing campaigns, only to realize that it doesn’t meet your expectations? What was the product / service, how was it marketed, and what would you do if you were in a position to influence the marketing methodology for that product or service?Prepare a 300 – 400 word response to the above questions. Be sure to provide detail and identify theories or best practices when they are needed.

Students will select a reading discussed between September 29 to October 13 and write a two-pages critical response paper. The CRP represents an analysis, alongside some commentary, on another author’s writing. Your CR must contain a critical review of the reading selected; for this, you need to consider the following:The first step is to summarize that which you are analyzing. Working through the reading, identify the main points and arguments contained in the work. Perhaps try to summarize these main points as you move through the text. Consider what evidence or support is given for each point. Reflect on how the work is structured and how this works towards achieving the text’s purpose.Once you have gone over the text, reflect on whether its purpose was achieved and whether this purpose was meaningful. Evaluate the validity and effectiveness of supporting evidence. Also, consider the balance of the writing, in terms of whether more or less information was needed within each section.Once you have reflected on the writing content, take some time to consider the style and structure of the text. Was the information organized in a way that helped or hindered your understanding? Did the structure suit the nature of the text? Finally, consider whether the language and style of the writing were in any way noteworthy, or specific to the text’s purpose.Structuring your CR.The introduction is used to establish your main argument regarding the work analyzed. The summary of the reading is presented so that the reader will know what the text is about.Find a way to connect this content-focused section with your analysis by starting with a commentary on the content. Here are some questions that might help you frame your response: What is the author’s main point? What evidence does the author use to support their claim, and do you think the evidence is compelling? Why or why not? Do you agree with the author’s argument? Why or why not? Does the argument challenge your views in any way? How do the concepts here build off of others, and can those concepts be extrapolated to other topics or ideas? Follow with a comment on the style and structure of the text that you are analyzing.Remember that you should always apply critical thinking; this means that you should be able to back up any statement you made.Your conclusion should bring all of the points you have made together in a manner that supports your writing’s main argument, as set out in the introduction.FORMATTimes New Roman 121.5 spacedAPA style for citations and referencesreadings to select from will be provided when the tutor decides to choose the question

Specific Purpose: Formulated into one sentence, the specific purpose identifies the precise response the speaker desires from the audience. Do not use infinitive phrases, i.e., “to inform” or “to persuade.” Place the label for the specific purpose sentence flush with the left margin.
Thesis Sentence: The thesis sentence (addressed to the audience, not the instructor) summarizes everything the speaker intends to say during the speech. Place the label for the thesis sentence flush with the left margin.
The introduction should gain attention, orient the audience by stating the topic, offer a reason for listening, and preview the body of the speech. The introduction (which may be outlined or written word-for-word) is designed to

gain the attention of the audience;
establish the speaker’s credibility; and
orient the audience to the body of the speech.

Do not say “I will tell the story of ____,” or “I will do X, Y, or Z.” Actually outline or write the story here in the Introduction, such as “Have you ever found yourself repeating mistakes you have made before?” Actually, outline or write the question here.
Enclose transitions within parentheses ( ) on a line or lines separate from the rest of the outline. Transitions may link major sections OR main ideas OR subordinate ideas within the body of the speech.
The body must contain 2-5 main points using patterns of organization covered in the textbook; other patterns of the organization must have prior approval by the instructor. Each main point must be well supported by 2-5 1st-order sub-points designed to illustrate the main points (examples, illustrations, facts, quotations, etc.) Don’t overload the audience with information. Move from simple to complex ideas. Move from familiar to unfamiliar ideas. Define your terms.
The body develops your ideas, condenses your thinking and research, ensuring that you have done an adequate job of preparation. The entire outline should contain more material than you have time to use in your speech and must be at least 3 pages in length [2 full + 1 partial). You must use two-five (2-5) main ideas and two-five (2-5) subordinate (sub-points) points for each main point or higher-level sub-point.
The conclusion should restate or summarize the main points and communicate a sense of finality (verbally or nonverbally indicate that you have finished talking). You may end with a story or quotation.
The conclusion (which may be an outline or written word-for-word) is designed to

provide the audience with a sense of finality,
leave the audience in the proper mood, and
focus the audience’s thinking on your topic.

Consider the following scenario: You are trying to complete a difficult assignment, and you become “stuck” on a specific problem, question, or detail. You are tired, hungry, and frustrated and have difficulty coming to a resolution. Eventually, you give up or take a break and move on to another activity.
Later, while you are cooking dinner, jogging down the street, or taking a shower, the answer comes. Out of thin air, you have solved a problem that you had stopped thinking about. How might this phenomenon be possible?
For this Discussion, you consider barriers to problem solving. You also explain how one might overcome such barriers.
With these thoughts in mind:
By Day 3
Post a brief description of two examples when you encountered barriers to problem solving. Then explain the steps you took to overcome the barriers in each example. Finally, explain strategies to enhance problem-solving skills. Support your response with references to the Learning Resources and current literature.
Be sure to support your postings and responses with specific references to the Learning Resources.

solved Maria Laukaitis posted Oct 11, 2021 4:45 PM Hello from

Maria Laukaitis posted Oct 11, 2021 4:45 PM Hello from sunny Key Largo, FL! My name is Maria and I work at a small education nonprofit that teaches marine science and conservation. Success has largely been a source of stress for me since I was in school as a child and all the way through my college years. As I was growing up, my definition of personal success was primarily grade based. That stressful idea of “if it’s not an A it’s an F”. Now as an adult I have let go of much of that and have a more balanced view of personal stress that is focused on many factors that contribute to the happiness of myself and those I love. Professionally, success is also a more fluid concept to be now because my job is so closely tied to people. For instance, if I feel that I, and the staff I oversee, have created a positive learning experience for our students then that is a win. Thinking of successful organizations, the first one that came to mind was Facebook. Of course profits have been rapidly increasing for Facebook but that is not the first sign of success I thought of for this company. I am sure we have all seen the rapid expansion of Facebook into the social media space and into people’s personal lives. It has been continuously seeking out opportunities to further imbed itself into day to day culture worldwide. It has done so by buying out other platforms such as Instagram and Whatsapp that it saw were also highly used apps. Plus, these social media platforms that it owns have also become essential to many businesses. For instance, the 6 hours during which Facebook’s servers were down last week was a large wake up call for many. It demonstrated just how necessary Facebook had made itself in the lives of individuals and companies alike. Therefore, to me, a large part of an organization being successful (other than profit) is how much they are depended on.It is very nice to meet you all :)In response to your peers, address the following:Compare your views on personal and professional success. How do they differ?Share your opinion about the organization identified in the post and its success. Do you agree that this organization is successful? Why or why not?Share your thoughts about the importance of the non-financial success parameters identified in the post. Write a post of 1 to 2 paragraphs.Consider content from other parts of the course where appropriate. Use proper citation methods for your discipline when referencing scholarly or popular sources.Demonstrate more depth and thought than saying things like “I agree” or “You are wrong.” Guidance is provided for you in the discussion prompt.
