PART 1:I have provided you with a literary and film trope. Research independently in order to define, describe and provide at least two examples of a trope of your own choosing.THE TROPE I CHOOSE IS : https://youtu.be/bEKNFX7LWRk1.) Describe, in your own words, a trope you have selected and researched. Include at least two examples that you have seen yourself to describe the trope. RESPONSE SHOULD BE AT LEAST 250 WORDS MINIUMUMFor example, if I were to outline and describe the Magical Negro trope, I would also include details about “Bagger Vance” and “The Green Mile”, including the characters that embody that trope (i.e. Mr. Coffee and Will Smith’s character), and how they fit the trope. I have seen both films and would have no trouble describing the two characters and how they fulfill the Magical Negro trope’s expectations and development (or lack thereof as an erasure of black lives). PART 2:COMMENT OR GIVE YOUR PROSPECTIVE ON THE RESPONSE FROM CLASSMATE. EACH COMMENT OR RESPONSE SHOULD BE 250 WORDS EACH TOTAL OF 750 WORDS .CLASSMATE RESPONSE:The definition of a trope in film is basically the stereotypical cliche put forward in most films of certain characters. one famous trope is the the “cool girl” trope. This is a female character in a film that is the depiction of a male in a womans body. This typical woman is portrayed as being just like one of the guys. She might eat a lot and “un lady like” yet maintains her small, thin figure. She likes sports and speaks provagetively. She plays video games and comes of as “not the typical helpless woman” that they usually put in films. This only works if the woman is drop dead gorgeous though. She has to apeal to the mans eye inorder to be the “cool girl” trope. She also maintains this sterotype as long as she doesnt outshine the male characters in the film. She often acts as if she doesnt care about other peoples feelings and says whats on her mind freely not caring how she sounds. An example of a “cool girl” would be Donna from “That 70s show”. Donna is a tomboy who likes to play sports and, beat up Eric and is not portrayed as a nagging helpless girl. She is very unlike the girly girl Jackie. Another example of a “cool girl” would be Megan fox from Transformers. Her character is drop dead gorgeous and knows more about cars than the average girl would. She has a very cool chill personality. Shes basically a tomboy That dresses to appeal the male eye.

I’m trying to study for my Writing course and I need some help to understand this question.

Consider the following scenarios:
Soon after her child’s birth, Myra began to feel overwhelmed with the daily tasks of caring for her infant. Initially, Myra noticed that she felt listless, and soon she started forgetting to do caregiving tasks and things around the house. Picking up has become a chore she avoids, and changing the baby into pajamas at night has turned into an unwanted task. She knows that reading and talking to her baby is important, but she does not have the energy. Instead, she elects to place him in front of the TV. Often, her baby, who is now 4 months old, will gaze up at her face during feeding, and Myra will gaze out the window, wondering how she will find the energy just to get through the day. On the one hand, she feels she needs to change course somehow, but on the other, she is consumed with feelings of isolation and an inability to act.
Jessie is also the parent of a 4-month-old. She is often tired but tries to keep on top of daily household and caregiving tasks, and her interactions with her infant son are a priority. She reads and sings to her son throughout the day and carefully follows the cues he gives her with his eyes—maintaining eye contact when his eyes seek her own, and lowering activity levels when his eyes look away. Although she certainly feels stressed at times, she tries to get enough sleep and frequently connects with her friends for input and advice.
To prepare:
Reflect on what you have learned about infant attachment in terms of its theoretical underpinnings, importance, and outcomes. Carefully consider the scenarios provided before proceeding.
Post an analysis of the scenarios that provokes a research-based discussion of the following:

Three key points related to the historical foundations of attachment research, and how key historical figures focused on attachment might interpret behaviors outlined by the mothers in each of the scenarios
The importance of healthy attachment in supporting positive child development outcomes
How attachment impacts human development across the life span, and differential outcomes you might anticipate for the infant in each scenario
A summary of current research related to attachment
Strategies early childhood professionals can use to support Myra from the first scenario in developing a healthy attachment with her infant

Find a recent (within the last two calendar or the last two fiscal year ends, depending upon the respective financial year end of your chosen company) Annual Report from a publicly-listed company of your choice and personal interest that mentions that the firm has been affected by foreign currency translation, either in the reported earnings (firms generally will always mention any significant favorable or unfavorable impact of changes in exchange rates on their most recent reported earnings in the Business Section of their Annual Reports) or some other important aspect of the firm’s recent business performance.Generally, you can find the Annual Report in the Investor Relations portion of the company’s website.Include in your posting as an attachment a copy of the Annual Report which you chose to use for this Discussion. Then, describe in your own words what must have occurred regarding the impact of foreign currency translation only (note: not foreign currency transactions) on your chosen company’s income statement and balance sheet during the period you are analyzing by answering the following questions:Overall, did the US dollar strengthen or weaken during the reporting period(s) for your chosen company? How did the change in the value of the US dollar impact reported revenues and profits for your chosen company? How did the change in the value of the US dollar impact the Accumulated Translation Adjustments account included in the Statement of (Other) Comprehensive Income and therefore Stockholders’ Equity during the reporting period?Did your chosen firm have any reported foreign exchange translation gains or losses during the reporting period? If they did, what does that mean with regards to the movement(s) of foreign exchange currency rates during the respective reporting period? Are there any other important or unusual items on the Income Statement or the Statement of (Other) Comprehensive Income for the reporting period related to foreign currency translation? If so, what do they mean in plain English?Cut and paste into your initial response what the company disclosed about the impact of foreign currency translation on the company’s results as you answer the above questions. Also, in your initial response, show any Accumulated Translation Adjustments included in the Stockholders’ Equity section of the most recent balance sheet or on the Statement of (Other) Comprehensive Income.

I’m working on a business law discussion question and need an explanation and answer to help me learn.

You’re on the Jury : The Case of the Politically Incorrect Sign
Disturbed by the number and variety of signs that individuals were putting up within its borders, a City passed an ordinance prohibiting all signs on private property except in commercial areas for advertising.  Eriq, a homeowner, pasted a sign on the front door of his house containing an American flag with these words underneath the flag:  “Down with the Mayor and the City Council – Our rights are being violated”.  He then went door to door in his neighborhood passing out copies of this sign and asking his neighbors to display it as well. Eriq was arrested for violating the ordinance.
The Trial
During the trial, a witness for the City described how many signs had appeared in the past on homes and on lawns for commercial home businesses, ruining the appearance of the community.  He explained that many other cities and towns had experienced the same problems and that the ordinance was reasonable and the only way to solve the problem. The restriction, he said, was content neutral as it was addressing a societal problem.  Eriq testified that the sign he had put up was a small one and that other City residents had raised flags on national holidays and put up signs showing their patriotism.  None of these residents had been arrested.
The Arguments at Trial
The City’s attorney argued that a city had the authority to regulate signs within its borders to protect the appearance and value of properties.  She further argued that the ordinance did not unduly restrict free speech as there were other ways for residents to express their views: radio, television, and the newspapers.  Eriq’s attorney argued that the regulation violated the freedom of speech provisions of the federal constitution, was too broad, too vague, and was unreasonable.  He argued that the City could have limited the ordinance by restricting signs over a certain size and in certain locations.  He further argued that it was unreasonable to restrict the expression of opinions except for the use of the media.
Discussion Questions to be Answered

Who has the stronger arguments, the City or Eriq? Why?
What are the laws here that are being applied and is their application proper?
If you were the on the jury hearing this case, for whom would you decide? Why?

solved Identifying and utilizing quality developmentally appropriate resources and technology will

Identifying and utilizing quality developmentally appropriate resources and technology will enhance learning opportunities and increase retention of information for early childhood students. Educators must evaluate and select developmentally appropriate resources based on research and knowledge of student needs, capabilities, and interests. A knowledgeable educator will anticipate challenges and problems that may arise when implementing the resources and technology in the classroom and will proactively find solutions to avoid those challenges.
For this assignment, you will use the standards and objectives from Topic 3 to complete the “Instructional Design Topic 5: Integrating Resources and Technology” section of the “Instructional Design Unit” template. Select four developmentally appropriate resources, per grade band, that will support each objective. One of the resources should be technology-based. In 50-100 words per resource, provide the following:

A rationale for each selected resource
How it supports developmentally appropriate practice
Possible challenges that may arise with each resource, and strategies to overcome those challenges

In a 250-500 word summary, discuss the benefits of using technology to support learning in early childhood education classrooms. What are the drawbacks and how can you plan for these ahead of time?
Support your response with 2-3 scholarly resources.
Educators want to help their students master each objective. To accomplish this, they need to assess students before, during, and after the lesson to ensure progress, and consider the steps necessary to master the objective and design assessments to monitor progress.
For this assignment, you will use the standards and objectives from Topic 3 to create two developmentally appropriate formative assessments to assess student progress for each standard/objective. Complete the “Instructional Design Topic 6: Re-assessing and Data Collection” section of the “Instructional Design Unit” template.
In 50-100 words per assessment, explain how each formative assessment is aligned to the standard/objective and how it is developmentally appropriate. Revise the summative assessments you created in Topic 3, if necessary, to include modifications you would need to make to meet the needs of all students (visual, auditory, sensory).
In a 250-500 word summary, explain how progress monitoring ensures success for all students.

A) It’s funny but considering the fact that I am not a parent it was a little hard trying to put myself in the position of how I would want to have a relationship with my future children. I do though have a mother who I think sometimes can struggle from the knee jerking and it’s something that we can both work on as a team. While completing it realizing that somethings can come off as criticism so easily when you can just change the wording to make it a concern can become less harsh during conversations. Making a better parent child relationship when you are able to have those conversations that have open ended concerns that can be fixed compared to being criticized.

B) This was a good one considering that I have teens.  Teenagers can be a difficult group to reach and to manage at times, as they are going through hormonal changes, discovering who they are, thinking about who they are as a person, managing their emotions, what their career choice is, peer pressure, etc etc.  As a mother, it can be difficult, because it seems like they are in their “own word”.  I try very hard to be empathetic and understanding of their feelings, probably to a fault.  I say that because I do all of the chores around the house and barely assign them any, but then I get frustrated that they don’t keep their own bathrooms tidy.  I suppose that’s my own fault.  In my home, we use positive language and try very hard not to ever use negative putdowns.  We do this not only because it is psychologically damaging, but also because we have a young toddler in the house.  I always encourage my teens to come to me when they are having a problem with school or with friends, or with their emotions.  We try so hard not to lash out at each other, but to use other means by journaling and sitting down to talk about it calmly.  The worksheet provided looks a lot like our usual discussions in this household.  I strive to create a loving environment.  I’m divorced, and their father is an alcoholic.  I left him when they were little, so I feel like I am trying to make up for any emotional harm that I may have missed.  I am also a very sensitive and empathetic person.  I am keeping the worksheet as a part of our household emotional health and I want to thank Professor Hallas for introducing it to us for this lesson.  I probably went way off topic for this. LOL  I’ll come back if I need to add more.

solved Learning Objective: This activity will help you write effective essays

Learning Objective: This activity will help you write effective essays using academic language and edit your own writing for errors in grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Directions: As you submit your first essay, I wanted us to talk a little bit about academic writing conventions. Academic writing is often formal and has to follow certain requirements. Being able to write academically will help you in other courses, but it will also help you in other communication, whether that is within your workplace or elsewhere is society. Step 1:To remind us of what that looks like, please watch the video below and check out the handout after that. These will help as you write your final draft of this essay this week. Some More Rules:Avoid using contractions in formal writing (can’t, won’t, isn’t, etc).Try not to begin sentences with connecting words like “and,” “but,” “so” or a vague pronoun, like “this” or “it.”Avoid using phrases like “I think,” “I believe,” or “In my opinion.”Make sure you do not write like this is an email. Any written assignment for this course other than a reflective journal is formal writing. Slang, symbols and abbreviations are not accepted. Particularly offensive items include the following: & = and, b/c = because w/ = with, lol – laugh out loud, w/out = without, u=you.Eliminate Passive Voice!!! While we may speak this way, this is not the most effective way to write. How do you prevent this? Make sure the subject of your sentence is actively completing the verb. Writing actively also eliminates wordiness, a. Passive – The paper was graded by the teacher b. ACTIVE – The teacher graded the paper.Avoid overuse direct quotes and paraphrased material. While these can work great as support, we want the majority of the essay to be your words, opinions, and analysis. If you want to know more, check out the The Dos and Don’ts of Academic Writing. (Links to an external site.)Step 2:Once you have watched the video and read through the rules, answer the following questions:Do any of these rules surprise you? Have you been breaking any of them so far? What three things did you learn from these lectures that will help you as you do your final revision of Essay Project 3?Do you have any questions on any of these rules? As you respond to your classmates, try to look at what questions they may have had and help them out if you can, or find commonalities within what you have learned.
