Respond to at least two peers and pursue those aspects of the conversation that interest you most.
Student post down below:(Brenda)
Shier and Handy (2015) say that nonprofits can generate social change by using the three levels of built-in advocates already found in their organizations. In a simplified outlook of the hierarchy of a non-profit, there is a board member, a staff member, and a program participant. They all have skill sets and connections that appeal to the intersections of society that they each inhabit and can influence (Sojung & Nam-Hyun. 2016). It is essential in the communication and marketing strategies for advocating to continue programs for homeless individuals. There is the correct social media exposure using appropriate material to move this organization forward. These are how they can use specific social media outlets to progress their partnership:
Facebook page for BAHS (Bay Area Homeless Services) and partners: daily updates of the progress of the organization’s meetings, decisions made about the partnership, pictures, access to more homeless youths by providing all the information pertinent to finding assistance. The blog can also have testimonials from homeless youth who are being helped and moved on and out of the cycle due to the programs.
Instagram/Twitter: This will include connecting with renowned programs with a social media presence and asking questions about any programming issues or obstacles they may have faced or are facing. It will be used as a forum for the BAHS to liaise and reach a wider audience (Sojung & Nam-Hyun. 2016).
These advocates will connect their social circles via these four social media channels. To use any more outlets would spread the social media volunteer too thin, and there will be a lack of control over information. Using these avenues, allows the community to contribute to assisting BAHS in the continuity of their programs, provide jobs, and even volunteer to teach clients new skill sets.

Overview: Successful professionals need solid self-assessment and metacognitive skills. Approach this annotated bibliography assignment as an opportunity to reflect upon your progress toward mastery of the course competencies and to share your perspective and expertise gained from past educational and professional experiences. The goal of an annotated bibliography is to assist you in refining your information literacy while engaging you in the act of being a subject matter expert. You should begin your research with the Shapiro Library Research Guide. You are also welcome to do conventional web searches, with the expectation that you will pay careful attention to the credibility of site authors and the appropriateness of site content for an academic audience. Prompt: For this assignment, you will be conducting research supporting your first competency project. Specifically, you should find credible sources of information to inform your evaluation and recommendations related to the case study you selected in your Module One Graphic Organizer assignment. For example, if you had selected a case documenting the process for developing and enacting an immigration policy, you would want to be well-versed in the relevant statistics, studies, and data related to immigration to inform your evaluation of that case. The following critical elements must be addressed:
I. Create an introductory paragraph describing the importance of evidence-based management.
II. Research three (3) current, evidence-based, peer-reviewed articles. For each article, compose a paragraph that includes: A. Location of data: Where is the data is coming from (agency, organization, etc.)? B. Summary of data: What important data or information is included? C. Citation: Properly cite the article using APA format.
III. Create a closing paragraph in which you identify in which of the six stages of the policy development model this data would be most useful. This could be more than one stage.

solved You are asked to do a 10-minute Power Point presentation

You are asked to do a 10-minute Power Point presentation on a photographer who is relevant to our class. In your presentation please include an artist bio and a description of their work. This is a good opportunity for you to explore an artist in depth, and for the class to learn from each other’s research.Make sure you have enough photographs (15-20) and do not include too much text in the slides of the Power Point. It is more engaging for the audience to listen to the speaker than to read from a projection. Summarize what you are going to say on the slide, and verbally fill in what is missing. Delivery:Please include only one image per slide. It is important that you include good quality images and that the files have a minimum of 800 pixels on each dimension.Timing: The presentation should be around 10 minutes, which means not shorter than 8 minutes but not longer than 12 minutes.Video: You are allowed to include video clips only if they show something you cannot present yourself (for example, if they show a very particular artistic process, as opposed to just an interview), and those should be max. 2 minutes long. I will be taking time!Every image should have a caption that includes the title and date.Content: In your presentation and paper, please address the following issues:What are the main ideas and themes that the photographer explores in their work? What was the historical context in which the work was produced? What is special about this artist? What were the intentions of the photographer when making the work? What questions does the work raise for you?Come prepared with a question that you want to discuss with the class.Research Paper:Length: One page, single-spaced (500 words)Include a bibliography with at least three sources. Both the presentation file (as a Power Point or pdf document) and the paper are due here (Links to an external site.) at the beginning of the class on the day you will present. You will be graded based on this rubric.

solved Today, most of the claims brought against directors and officers

Today, most of the claims brought against directors and officers in
the United States are those alleged in shareholders’ derivative
lawsuits. Other nations, however, put more restrictions on the use of
such lawsuits. German law, for example, does not provide for derivative
litigation, and a corporation’s duty to its employees is just as
significant as its duty to the shareholder-owners of the company. The
United Kingdom has no statute authorizing derivative actions, which are
permitted only to challenge directors’ actions that the shareholders
could not legally ratify. Japan authorizes derivative actions but also
permits a company to sue the plaintiff-shareholder for damages if the
action is unsuccessful.Assignment: (1) Research the laws/statutes/rules/court cases governing
shareholder derivative lawsuits in one of the nations listed above or
any other nation. (2) In a minimum 250-word post, please: (a) Cite the law/statute/rule/court case governing shareholder derivative lawsuits of the nation you chose; and (b) Explain if the shareholder derivative lawsuit has
encouraged businesses to be more or less culturally responsible? Give at
least one specific example.Research Information/Suggestions:1. Please use reliable and credible search engines (please do not use Wikipedia). 2. solved In August 2021, President Joe Biden announced an executive initiative

In August 2021, President Joe Biden announced an executive initiative on American leadership toward clean car and trucks.  As part of his statement he outlined a “Target of 50% Electric Vehicle Sales Share in 2030 to Unleash Full Economic Benefits of Build Back Better Agenda and Advance Smart Fuel Efficiency and Emission Standards” (The White House, Briefing Room, August 5, 2021, FACT SHEET: President Biden Announces Steps to Drive American Leadership Forward on Clean Cars and Trucks, accessed September 23, 2021, https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/statements-releases/2021/08/05/fact-sheet-president-biden-announces-steps-to-drive-american-leadership-forward-on-clean-cars-and-trucks/).  Specified within this announcement were the advancement of battery electric, plug-in hybrid electric, and fuel cell electric vehicles.  Choose one of these three electric vehicle (EV) types and answer the following questions.  Be sure to back up your explanations with some research before discussing this topic online with your classmates. Be sure to read relevant sections of  your text and other supplementary readings.

a) Describe the energy source(s) for the EV you chose and how the energy source(s) basically is/are used to propel the vehicle.  Be specific in your description of the energy source(s).  Note: obviously electricity is the energy source, in whole or in part to the EV, so be specific in your description as to the source(s) of energy that produces the electricity. b) What are advantages and disadvantages of using this energy source from a standpoint of cost and convenience to the consumer?
s, describe how these EV’s may (or not) indirectly or alternatively produce carbon (and other pollutant tainted) emissions or cause other environmental problems/concerns. b) As a whole, describe why you feel (or not) these EV’s will be beneficial for the environment in the decades to come as opposed to the continued use of vehicles that burn fossil fuels.

solved Founding Father Thomas Jefferson had strong opinions about the importance

Founding Father Thomas Jefferson had strong opinions about the importance of public educationin the United States. He wrote, “I do most anxiously wish to see the highest degrees of educationgiven to the higher degrees of genius, and to all degrees of it, so much as may enable [students]to read and understand what is going on in the world, and to keep their part of it going on right:for nothing can keep it right but their own vigilant and distrustful superintendence” (qtd. in Berry144). In other words, Jefferson believed all citizens of a democracy should be educated so thatthey can understand “what is going on in the world” well enough to ask for and help makechanges as needed.Forward to 21st Century America:In a Time Magazine article published in May 2017, journalist Randi Weingarten claims thatPresident Trump has devalued public education, especially public high schools, and points outthat Trump’s choice for Secretary of Education, Betsy DeVoss, “has called public schools a‘dead end’” and is in favor of defunding public education in some ways.In a brief but coherent essay, apply Jefferson’s ideas on public education to those of ourleaders today (as described by Weingarten).Consider these questions as part of your response:Should the federal government continue to actively finance public education or should thefunding go to other areas? What are the benefits, or detractors, of a well-educated citizenry?Do you think a good education should be available to all people in democracy, regardless ofsocioeconomic status? Research Proposal GuidelinesStep one in the research process is for you to write and submit a proposal for your topic. This proposal will include a well-written thesis statement that explains your paper topic. Your proposal will also explain where you have found source material for your paper. Often, the act of writing the proposal—putting ideas into words—helps you refine and define your thesis. Your instructor will comment on your initial proposal and you should plan on revising and resubmitting the proposal until it is a working document that will enable you to write a solid research paper. This is the brainstorming and refining of your research thinking. The Research Proposal Assignment must include the following information:The purpose/ideas for writing this paper. What will you research and why is that important? How does it fit into the context of the overall assignment? A clearly defined working thesis statement or idea for this paper. What do you expect to find in your research? What have you already found? A listing of at least two sourcesThis is a short proposal (350-400 words), yet it should convey, directly or indirectly, all of the required information listed above. The purpose of this proposal assignment is to help you focus on your topic and think about the resources needed for your final paper. The researcher’s role in the project is both to inform the audience and to advocate a particular course of action. Your proposal must be typed up in a Word document and submitted to the Dropbox for review. Spelling, writing, and grammar count in this assignment. Your topic idea will also be posted in the class discussions. This is so everyone will know what the other papers are about. That way, if anyone finds an article or information that might benefit you and your topic, it can be shared with you. TOPIC IS: Social media influencers(In MLA format)

Behavior Modification Project Part 3  – Weekly Journal
My behavioral challenge is being a poor listener

Four-Week Journal of Behavioral Modification (30 pts):
Start your chosen behavior change and monitor how it goes for a four week period. At the end of each week, write a half-page to one-page (100-250 words) journal entry (include the date for each entry) describing your progress thus far in specific, measurable terms including how frequently you engaged in the problem behavior and how frequently you successfully changed the behavior, as well as any challenges or obstacles that you experienced. Some people prefer to include a behavior tracking/monitoring sheet as well, which you can create on your own or find online. Your journal entry should also include discussion of revisions to your change plan that you made or plan to make for the next week, sources of support for making the change that you found helpful, and benefits of the change that you are noticing.
Example Journal Entry: “Oct 20th, 2017. Week One Journal: I began my plan to cut down and quit smoking this week. I smoked two cigarettes this week, one on Monday morning and one on Thursday night. This first week was harder than I expected when it came to not smoking during the stress of preparing for an exam on Monday and when I was out with friends on Thursday. On the other days, it seemed to help when I remembered to fill up my water bottle and when I could safety reach the gum in my bag while I was driving. I haven’t bought a pack of cigarettes in over two weeks, so that’s nice as well. When I fill up my car with gas, I plan to pay at the pump and not go inside the store to break that old stimulus cue of buying cigarettes when I get gas.”
During your journal weeks, refer back to your Part 2 submission to review your plan, anticipated behavior and thinking changes, and anticipated obstacles to reflect on how the lived experience of making this change compares to your expectations.

solved Throughout history, technological advancements have appeared for one purpose before

Throughout history, technological advancements have appeared for one purpose before finding applications elsewhere that lead to spikes in its usage and development. The internet, for example, was originally developed to share research before becoming a staple of work and entertainment. But technology—new and repurposed—will undoubtedly continue to be a driver of healthcare information. Informaticists often stay tuned to trends to monitor what the next new technology will be or how the next new idea for applying existing technology can benefit outcomes. In this Discussion, you will reflect on your healthcare organization’s use of technology and offer a technology trend you observe in your environment. To Prepare:Reflect on the Resources related to digital information tools and technologies.Consider your healthcare organization’s use of healthcare technologies to manage and distribute information.Reflect on current and potential future trends, such as use of social media and mobile applications/telehealth, Internet of Things (IoT)-enabled asset tracking, or expert systems/artificial intelligence, and how they may impact nursing practice and healthcare delivery.By Day 3 of Week 6Post a brief description of general healthcare technology trends, particularly related to data/information you have observed in use in your healthcare organization or nursing practice. Describe any potential challenges or risks that may be inherent in the technologies associated with these trends you described. Then, describe at least one potential benefit and one potential risk associated with data safety, legislation, and patient care for the technologies you described. Next, explain which healthcare technology trends you believe are most promising for impacting healthcare technology in nursing practice and explain why. Describe whether this promise will contribute to improvements in patient care outcomes, efficiencies, or data management. Be specific and provide examples.
