solved Patient Preferences and Decision MakingChanges in culture and technology have

Patient Preferences and Decision MakingChanges in culture and technology have resulted in patient populations that are often well informed and educated, even before consulting or considering a healthcare need delivered by a health professional. Fueled by this, health professionals are increasingly involving patients in treatment decisions. However, this often comes with challenges, as illnesses and treatments can become complex. What has your experience been with patient involvement in treatment or healthcare decisions? In this Discussion, you will share your experiences and consider the impact of patient involvement (or lack of involvement). You will also consider the use of a patient decision aid to inform best practices for patient care and healthcare decision making. To Prepare:Review the Resources and reflect on a time when you experienced a patient being brought into (or not being brought into) a decision regarding their treatment plan.Review the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute’s Decision Aids Inventory at https://decisionaid.ohri.ca/.Choose “For Specific Conditions,” then Browse an alphabetical listing of decision aids by health topic.NOTE: To ensure compliance with HIPAA rules, please DO NOT use the patient’s real name or any information that might identify the patient or organization/practice.By Day 3 of Week 11Post a brief description of the situation you experienced and explain how incorporating or not incorporating patient preferences and values impacted the outcome of their treatment plan. Be specific and provide examples. Then, explain how including patient preferences and values might impact the trajectory of the situation and how these were reflected in the treatment plan. Finally, explain the value of the patient decision aid you selected and how it might contribute to effective decision making, both in general and in the experience you described. Describe how you might use this decision aid inventory in your professional practice or personal life.

Reading: Signs Preceding the End of the World, chapters 7-end + Translator’s Note Purpose: To evaluate Yuri Herrera’s literary style in relation to translation studiesSkills/knowledge practiced: Textual analysis; close reading; writing with citations; use of textual evidence; developing argument; analysis of narrative techniques; genre analysis; following proper MLA formatting guidelines; paraphrasing quotes Submission instructions: Please submit your 250-350 word response as a Word doc Grades will be based on the completeness of your submission (including textual quotes + sufficient word count length) as well as proper grammar/spelling and the depth of your critical analysis. Four points total: 1 pt. for proper citation use; 1 pt. for sufficient length;1 pt. for sufficient depth of content/engagement; 1 pt. for proper assignment formatting.Assignments should be formatted as follows: 12 pt. font, 1-inch margins, double-spaced with header, page numbers, Times New Roman font, Word Count listed, Works Cited page on separate page, submitted as Microsoft Word or PDF. This may seem like a lot but it is the golden standard for document preparation, and if properly followed will make your writing immediately more consistent and easier to read. See the following for an example: MLA Citation Template and ExamplePrompt: In the “Translator’s Note,” Lisa Dillman describes her methods of preparing to translate the novel: “I first read widely. I read for theme; I read for tone; I read for style. I read texts that took place on borders; I read about Aztec mythology and Alice in Wonderland and Dante’s circles of hell. . . . I made word lists and devised ways to be non-standard in English” (110). For what reason(s), in your opinion, is the practice of reading important for translation, esp. as it relates to Signs Preceding the End of the World? Choose a passage you find particularly compelling and explain how Dillman’s practice of reading may have benefited her translation of said passage.

solved First, watch the John Doerr lecture, “Ideas are easy, execution

First, watch the John Doerr lecture, “Ideas are easy, execution is everything.”
Then, consider the following:
“Is it better to start a business now or wait until you gain experience working for someone else?”
When preparing your response, support your view with facts from John Doerr’s lecture. The first person to respond will pick a side to support. The next person to respond will constructively disagree with the first person to post. Each person thereafter will disagree with the previous person who posted. Try not to repeat ideas already stated. Therefore, you may want to access resources outside of the class materials to support your position.

Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers (Mar 4, 2015). John Doerr: Ideas are easy, execution is everything.

Although it could be beneficial, working for someone else and waiting to gain enough experience will not necessarily prepare you for the challenges you might face when starting your own business. It will definitely give you some sense of what a business should look like but that knowledge can be gained in other fields. When starting a new company, you have the opportunity to learn the most valuable business lessons out there. In my opinion, surrounding yourself with the right mentors who have different sets of skills and experience is a great way to learn to start a business. You might not think so, but there are many high-profile entrepreneurs that are willing to share their knowledge and experiences to help people achieve their goals.
John Doerr mentioned in the video a quote from Thomas Edison that says “Innovation without execution is a hallucination”. Something I’ve learned from watching this video is that your ability to execute matters enormously, so it is important to start somewhere. When starting a business with no experience, you will encounter some situations that you will not have the knowledge or the skills to solve on your own so it is ideal that you find people that possess the skills you might be missing.

Reflections on Popular Culture in the age of Covid
For your final assignment, I’d like you to reflect on the place of popular culture and media platforms in pandemic life. I invite you to make this a personal essay, using the readings and discussions from this quarter as a touchstone. What has been the place of popular culture in this moment of crisis? Using an analytic lens, what have you observed about the place of media platforms in both helping people manage in this time or perhaps even intensifying the crisis? Has your use of media platforms shifted? In what way? Has your engagement with (or perspectives on) varying kinds of content shifted? How?
My goal in this assignment is to use the tools we’ve developed and discussed to help you analyze this unusual and unprecedented year we’ve had. I hope this essay will be one that you can save and look back on in the future as a cultural record of your life, thoughts, and reflections in this moment. So much has shifted in the past year; social media isn’t just an addendum to our in-person interactions, but rather it has become a wholesale replacement for it in so many ways. Anecdotally, paid partnerships and sponsored posts seem to be even more prevalent than before as many people are finding ways to supplement lost income and companies are happy to monetize increased activity online. Our relationships to fantasy and travel and play have changed, and the phone (or tablet or computer) can provide a window into other worlds and times that feel more distant than ever. On the other hand, the pleasures of music and dance have proliferated in platforms like TikTok and Instagram, and people have found other ways to connect online with others around cultural productions and cultural play. What is your assessment? What has been your experience? You’re not obliged to write from a personal place, but you are welcome to do so if you’re so inspired.

Discussion 2: Limiting the LimitationsEven the best designed studies will have limitations. A study with a small population will still return useful results, but that population size will be a limitation to generalizing to a larger population. Research also faces barriers and challenges like institutional review board (IRB) related issues or having access to data or the technology you may need, like teleconferencing software. Limitations come from the design of the study itself, and barriers and challenges are general issues associated with how and where you want to conduct the study. They are not related to the design of the study. In this Discussion, you will consider potential limitations to your study design. To PrepareReview the Learning Resources and Course Announcement, specifically the USC Libraries (n.d.) resource.Note that Discussions in the PhD program are areas for sharing ideas, reflecting on current research, and building community. Therefore, your grade, and the evaluation of your Discussion, will be based on the content and quality of your ideas. Note that APA Style citations, references, and standard punctuation will not be assessed or graded. Please focus on shaping your ideas and supporting your claims with examples and research when applicable. Note that every course has its own standards and requirements, so it is important to always check those requirements for each course and each assignment. Respond to all bullet points in the prompt.Write a 300- to 400-word initial post:Define what you believe are possible limitations a research may include in the nature of the study section.Identify one of the following limitations that may appear in your study: access to participants, quality of secondary data, and finding participants willing to be in the study. solved I’m trying to study for my Psychology course and I

I’m trying to study for my Psychology course and I need some help to understand this question.

Think of an incident for each of the four scenarios below where two people perceived what happened or what is going on very differently.

Imagine when foreigners visit the United States, try and imagine the things that they might perceive differently, explain why they might see things differently.
Imagine two individuals of differing gender, imagine what they might perceive differently and why?
Imagine two individuals of differing age, imagine what they perceive differently and why?
Imagine two individuals of differing expertise, imagine what they might perceive differently and why?
Take a moment and contemplate the world that we live in today and find me two real examples of two different sides that see events from a completely different perspective and why.

Give examples, real and hypothetical for the above.
Discussion Directions :
Personal Application questions
Please respond to One of the following:
1.  Think about a time when you failed to notice something around you because your attention was focused elsewhere. If someone pointed it out, were you surprised that you hadn’t noticed right away?
2.  If you had to choose to lose either your vision or your hearing, which would you chose and why?
3.  A food’s flavor represents an interaction of both gustatory and olfactory information. Think about the last time  you were seriously congested due to a cold or the flu. What changes did you notice  in the flavors of the foods you ate at this time?
4.  Can you think of an example in your life of how classical conditioning has produced a positive emotional response, such as happiness or excitement? How about a negative emotional response , such as fear, anxiety, or anger?
5. Think of a behavior you would like to change. How could you use  behavior modification,  specifically positive reinforcement, to change your behavior? What is your positive reinforcement?

solved Corporate diversification strategies raise a wide range of strategic management

Corporate diversification strategies raise a wide range of strategic management issues. For this week’s critical thinking assignment, read the case study found in your textbook (Case 19): Google Is Now Alphabet—But What’s the Corporate Strategy?
Remember, a case study is a puzzle to be solved, so before reading and answering the specific case and study questions, develop your proposed solution by following these five steps:

Read the case study to identify the key issues and underlying issues. These issues are the principles and concepts of the course area which apply to the situation described in the case study.
Record the facts from the case study which are relevant to the principles and concepts of the course area issues. The case may have extraneous information not relevant to the current course area. Your ability to differentiate between relevant and irrelevant information is an important aspect of case analysis, as it will inform the focus of your answers.
Describe in some detail the actions that would address or correct the situation.
Consider how you would support your solution with examples from experience or current real-life examples or cases from textbooks.
Complete this initial analysis and then read the discussion questions. Typically, you will already have the answers to the questions but with a broader consideration. At this point, you can add the details and/or analytical tools required to solve the case.

Case Study Questions:

What is Google’s corporate strategy? Does Google have a clear vision of what it wants to become?
Use Porter’s Essentials Test to determine if this strategy creates competitive advantage. If so, how? If not, why not?
Look beyond the conventional sources of synergy and consider complementarities, bargaining power, and rivals. What threats does Google face?
Does Google need to refocus? How should Google delineate its corporate boundaries and which businesses, or products would you recommend abandoning or divesting, if any?

solved Facts: Shania Jackson is a mature Christian thinking of opening

Facts:
Shania Jackson is a mature Christian thinking of opening a Christian coffeehouse near Denver, Colorado. Her husband, Marvin, is open to making a contribution of capital to the business, but he has no interest in participating in its day-to-day operations or management.
Shania’s sister, Kelsey, is a new Christian who has told Shania that she’s been looking for an excuse to get out of the house and would love to be a part of the business. Kelsey’s husband, a non-Christian, opposes his wife’s involvement and has told her that he wants her to remain a stay-at-home mom to their 2 children.
Shania’s neighbor, Carlos, is a non-Christian who has also expressed an interest in participating in the business as a way to earn extra income. Carlos thinks the “Christian thing” has potential with all the big churches in the area, including a Mormon temple and a large Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Shania has considered organizing her business as a sole proprietorship, a partnership of some sort, a small corporation, an LLC, or even a joint venture. She is thinking of calling the business “The Gathering Place.”
Advise Shania on the following decisions:

Which of the business entities under consideration best accomplishes her business goals? Thoroughly explain the reasons for your recommendation.
Perform a corporate name search using the Explore: Business Database Search to determine if the name Shania is considering is available for use in the State of Colorado. Also, assess whether the name is available as a trademark. Even if the name is available, advise Shania on whether it is a good choice. Thoroughly explain the reasons for your recommendations.
Advise Shania on which of the interested persons she should include in her business, in what role(s), and why. Your analysis must include Biblical perspectives, such as Biblical considerations of marriage, and business relationships with non-believers. Thoroughly explain the reasons for your recommendations.
