Requirements:
A 12-year-old boy is brought to the office for evaluation of hives. He has no significant past medical history and no history of allergies. The hotel is haunted, and a few weeks into their stay, Jack is possessed by an evil spirit and tries to kill his family, like his predecessor, Grady, about a decade before. He seems to have entered a different special world of evil, as he interacts with ghosts such as the bartender, I expect that you’ll mention “Kubrick” the visual or auditory technique he utilizes to create fear/anxiety/anticipation/etc. with the viewers. An example sentence would look as so:One way Kubrick establishes a similarity or “bond” between Jack the hotel’s ghosts, is by having Jack and the bartender wearing similar color tones. solved This week I would like you to add something new

This week I would like you to add something new and in addition to the information found in our Enron chapter or in the Enron movie.
By Wednesday, find an online article (that has not already been posted by a classmate) that adds at least one new fact or update not given in  our Enron chapter or in the Enron movie we watched.  Begin your post with the title of the article and a link to the article.  Then give us the new fact or update and explain it.  Expand with your thoughts or opinions.
By Sunday, reply to a classmate and express your views and opinions about the Enron case.  Cite the classmate’s name in the reply.  Add how you think the fraud and collapse could have been avoided.  Incorporate your classmate’s new fact or update into your reply.

Enron FBI
https://www.fbi.gov/history/famous-cases/enron
This article mentions that due to the magnitude of the case a special force task had to be created in order to properly investigate the Enron scandal, which was named “Enron Task Force”, which was comprised of the FBI,IRS Criminal Division, SEC and Department of Justice prosecutors. Also per this article it is mentioned than more than 3000 boxes with evidence, 1800 interviews were conducted among other evidence.
For such a large investigation, I am sure than more evidence could have been recovered, but was probably discarded before the investigation was officially launched.

The Rise and Fall of Enron
https://www.journalofaccountancy.com/issues/2002/apr/theriseandfallofenron.html
Enron was the result of a merger of Houston Gas North and Internorth. Because if the merger there was massive debt and loss of exclusive rights to pipelines and needed to come up with a new way to make money. After Skilling came up with the new way for Enron to make money Ken Lay created a new division called Enron Financial Corp and hired Skilling to run it. I find it very interesting that he created a new division just to have one person come work for the company because of how he saw things.

solved Halima, the owner and manager of a company with ten

Halima, the owner and manager of a company with ten employees, has hired you to take over the HRM function so she can focus on other areas of her business. During your first two weeks, you find out that the company has been greatly affected by the up economy and is expected to experience overall revenue growth by 10 percent over the next three years, with some quarters seeing growth as high as 30 percent. However, five of the ten workers are expected to retire within three years. These workers have been with the organization since the beginning and provide a unique historical perspective of the company. The other five workers are of diverse ages.
undefined
In addition to these changes, Halima believes they may be able to save costs by allowing employees to telecommute one to two days per week. She has some concerns about productivity if she allows employees to work from home. Despite these concerns, Halima has even considered closing down the physical office and making her company a virtual organization, but she wonders how such a major change will affect the ability to communicate and worker motivation.
undefined
Halima shares with you her thoughts about the costs of health care on the organization. She has considered cutting benefits entirely and having her employees work for her on a contract basis, instead of being full-time employees. She isn’t sure if this would be a good choice.
undefined
Halima schedules a meeting with you to discuss some of her thoughts. To prepare for the meeting, you perform research so you can impress your new boss with recommendations on the challenges presented.
Assignment Question(s):

Point out which changes are occurring in the business that affect HRM.
What are some considerations the company and HR should be aware of when making changes related to this case study?
What would the initial steps be to start planning for these changes?
What would your role be in implementing these changes? What would Halima’s role be?

CompetencyCritique organizational investments using forecasting scenarios.Student Success CriteriaView the grading rubric for this deliverable by selecting the “This item is graded with a rubric” link, which is located in the Details & Information pane.ScenarioYou are a production manager for Gold Corporation, a manufacturing company that manufactures bottles of liquid soap. The equipment you are using is over 20 years old, having been purchased when liquid soap first entered the retail market. While the equipment still works, you incur $100,000 annually in maintenance expenses because the equipment is old. You presently produce 1 million cases of liquid soap per year. This soap sells for $3 per case. Given the age of the equipment, you anticipate a decline in production of 50,000 cases in each of the next five years because of breakdowns in the equipment. You have been researching new production equipment and have found a new machine that will reduce annual operating costs to $48,000 per year and allow an increase in production over the 1 million cases presently being sold by sales and marketing. In conversations with sales and marketing, management believes that they can increase sales by 1% per year for the next five years. The new machine will have a fully loaded cost of $370,000, and an expected useful life of 5 years with no salvage value. The old machine can be sold today as scrap for $5,000.InstructionsPrepare a 6-10 slide PowerPoint presentation for management to demonstrate the following:Develop a schedule of projected cash flows using current equipment including the reduction in future sales.Develop a schedule of projected cash flows using discounted cash flows for the proposed new equipment.Analyze the projected cash flows and evaluate the feasibility of the proposed capital investment.Make a recommendation on the course of action management of Gold Corporation should take regarding the capital equipment used in this manufacturing process.ROUGH DRAFT IS ATTACHED.

Discussion: Trauma
Trauma is ubiquitous. While trauma is most commonly associated with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, trauma can manifest in a myriad of different ways and not every client who experiences trauma will be diagnosed with PTSD. Social workers intervene directly with trauma when working in Veteran’s services, domestic violence/sexual assault response programs, and child protective services. Social workers also work with trauma indirectly when working in mental health, substance abuse services, schools, refugee resettlement, and other forms of social service. Whether or not you are directly treating a traumatic episode as the presenting problem, trauma will be present in the clinical space.
In this Week’s Discussion, you will demonstrate your skills related to explaining trauma and intervention to a client. This will require you explain the concepts in a manner that is understandable to the developmental and educational level of the client. No need to solicit a volunteer to assist you. Position yourself as though the client is directly behind the camera lens. The goal is to show, not tell. In other words, you are expected to demonstrate rather than discuss your skills. You should role-play as if you were speaking directly to a client.
By Day 3
(*Just need script for video) Submit a 4-5 minute video demonstrating your skills. In the role-play:

Ask one question that you would use to elicit information about a client’s trauma experience. [Assume a response and move to the next part of the skill demonstration]
Explain to the client the effects of trauma generally and how trauma may be affecting the client specifically.
Explain to the client what intervention(s) you would recommend and why.
Explain the role you would take in any intervention given your scope of practice and to whom you would refer the client for additional intervention.

Include a transcript and/or edit closed captioning on your video to ensure your video is accessible to differing abilities.
