High School English2. “I was not born to be forced. I will breathe after my own fashion” declares Henry David Thoreau in his essay Civil
Disobedience. The statement captures not only Transcendentalist values but also the spirit of independence that fueled
the colonists and became a deeply ingrained part of American culture. Explore the implications of these instilled values.
How does this mindset work in practice rather than in theory? Using at least one piece of early or modern American
poetry, prose, or fiction, consider what happens when characters or individuals follow this advice. Does going against
the grain in this way turn out to be worthwhile? Are there additional factors about who that person/character is or
who/what they are rebelling against that further complicate following this recommendation or the success he/she is
met with?Though your research paper may use the quotes provided, it need not do so. However, your paper must include at
least one text from the list below and at least 3 additional valid scholarly sources. Your paper must be 4 pages in
length (excluding the mandatory Works Cited page). You must use MLA format. The scholarly articles must be found in JURN.org or Gale.com.List of primary sources. You must use at least one of the following:

Question:“As an ideal and a practice, development has always included a power equation: to improve the quality of people’s lives around the world, and to do so through active interventions over how, for what, and for whom resources are allocated. Yet, who decides what development means and the forms it takes? Who benefits and who endures the consequences? How and under what conditions can development be challenged and transformed?”2At the beginning of the course, we began our study of development with the claim and questions stated above. In your essay, discuss key transformations in the meaning and forms of development from the perspective of peoples and places who have been most affected by development policies and practices. For example, what has “development” looked like from the perspective of indigenous peoples and communities, workers employed in export-processing zones, labor migrants, and/or the rural and urban poor? In what ways have various groups contested the legitimacy of development as a project of rule? To what extent have their struggles helped bring about more just, equitable and sustainable horizons for development?Hint: your essay cannot address the perspectives of all the groups identified above, so be sure to make critical choices about who and what to focus on when developing your overarching argument for the essay.Double-spaced, 12-point type (preferred font: Times New Roman), 7 pages, ASA citatioEvaluation criteria: Excellent essays will provide compelling evidence and include specific examples from course readings, lectures and guest speakers over the past quarter to support overarching claims and arguments.Excellent essays will take a comprehensive approach, drawing upon readings and lecture content that spans the entire quarter.Excellent essays will incorporate analysis and evidence from optional readings.

solved Describe one key event from the 1850s that escalated tensions

Describe one key event from the 1850s that escalated tensions between the North and the South and support why you believe this led to the regional hostility. Use examples from the text to support your response.
In responding to your classmates, pick two who identified a key event different from the one you chose and discuss how the events were related to each other.

Peer 1
One of the key events that escalated tensions between the North and the South was the Kansas-Nebraska Act. It caused a rift and caused a lot of anger for the Northerners because of the power the South was gaining with the undoing of the Missouri Compromise. According to our text the North lost badly in the congressional elections, making the priorities of slaveholder’s number one. This caused major conflict between the Northerners and Southerners, as well as problems with the Federal government. Have a good week.

PEER 2
After reading Chapter 12, I believe that the Fugitive Slave Act of 1850 caused a large amount of tension in the North as well as the South. There was a surge in the abolitionist movement in the North and many Northerners did not think that the government should be forcing them to help capture runaway slaves. This was the biggest difference between the 1850 act and the ones before it. The average citizen was forced to assist government agents in recovering runaway slaves. On the other hand, Southerners were complaining that the Northerners were not following the previous Slave Acts with no repercussions, and they were likely not to start now. As the abolitionists’ movement continued to grow in the North, elections were starting to sway in favor of those that were against slavery and Southerners were growing more angry and fearful that they would lose their “property.” In the bigger picture, this was only one of many reasons for the South leaving the Union.

Before beginning this discussion, read PMI’s Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct (Links to an external site.) for project managers, and read the Weekly Lecture.Imagine you are a project manager and a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI). Alexia is a friend and colleague who works in the training department. She comes to you for advice about a potential ethical dilemma. Alexia is not a project manager or a member of PMI. She is a member of a team that is creating a training program for new sales people. This training program will consist of in-house training and online technical training. The team is about to search for companies to purchase or create the online technical training needed. Alexia has been in the industry for many years and is an expert in the field. Given her experience, the project manager has asked Alexia to lead the team to define the requirements and come up with a list of vendors. Alexia knows the vendors in this field, she worked for one of them for 10 years, and she is still close with many of the employees.Alexia’s sister is also in the industry; in fact, she is the local sales manager for a training company that will be a top contender for the job. Since Alexia has a family member and friends who work for two of the potential vendors, she has two potential conflicts of interest and has asked for your help in how to ethically navigate this situation. When she leaves your office, you pull out the PMI Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct (Links to an external site.) and the ethical decision making framework provided in the Weekly Lecture.1-What potential ethical violations exist? 2-Share at least three potential recommendations for navigating the potential ethical violations, and walk through the ethical decision making framework to show your thought process. 3-What is your final recommendation? Why?

solved Task 1: For this discussion, you will conduct informal research

Task 1:
For this discussion, you will conduct informal research using a sample of 5-6 of your friends or colleagues focused on how COVID-19 has impacted their travel and/or other hospitality plans, discuss your results, and evaluate if they are consistent with the outlook for the industry.  Please focus on how their attitudes may have recently changed due to new guidelines, the vaccine rollout, etc.  Overall, are they wholly optimistic, cautiously optimistic, or somewhat cautious?

Develop your own brief survey of 5 questions that you will ask and provide the questions in the discussion post.

Some things to consider might include:

How likely are you to plan travel or a vacation for the coming months?  Has new guidlelines and the vaccine roll out influenced your decisions?
What is your level of comfort in terms of personal safety in planning a trip given the current conditions?
What sort of re-booking or financial guarantee would be needed for you to plan a trip given the current conditions?
To what extent do you think your personal outlook on travel will be changed in the long term, as a result of the pandemic?

          2.  Discuss your results
          3.  In conclusion, do you think your results are consistent with the overall industry outlook?  Why or why not?
Discussion Expectation:
I am living in U.S, therefore, please stand the perspective in U.S to answer the question.
Length:  It is expected that your discussion post will be approximately 750 words in length
Research:  your discussion post is expected to contain at least 3 cited sources (these may include materials provided in the reading). Please be sure to use in-text citations and give the APA citations for your references at the end of your posts.
Task 2: Response two classmates’ post, that should be approximately 250 words in length each.

Case 6: Bipolar Disorder. For this assignment, you will create a differential diagnosis for the patient in your chosen Case 6: Bipolar Disorder. Be sure to follow the instructions in Chapter 1: Differential Diagnosis Step by Step when creating your differential diagnosis. Your assignment must include the following:Recommend a diagnosis based on the patient’s symptoms, presenting problems, and history.Assess the validity of your diagnosis using a sociocultural perspective.Compare at least one evidence-based and one non-evidence-based treatment option for the diagnosis. Research a minimum of two peer-reviewed sources to support your choices.Propose and provide an explanation for a minimum of two historical perspectives and two theoretical orientations that are inappropriate alternates for the conceptualizations in this case (e.g., cognitive, behavioral, humanistic, biological, sociocultural, evolutionary, psychoanalytic, integrative, etc.). NOTE: Be clear that you are writing about theoretical orientations and using the theoretical orientations to explain the client’s symptoms and presenting problems. Do not use the theoretical orientations to discuss any therapy or treatment approaches. Your application of the theoretical orientations should answer the question: How did this client develop the symptoms and current presenting problems? For example, “Based on the cognitive perspective, how did this client develop the symptoms and current presenting problem?” “Based on the humanisitic perspective, how did this client develop the symptoms and current presenting problem?” Etc.The Making a Differential Diagnosis assignmentMust be three to five double-spaced pages in length (not including title and references pages) and formatted according to APA style as outlined Must use at least two peer-reviewed sources in addition to the course text.

solved This module you are going to explore Erikson’s stages throughout

This module you are going to explore Erikson’s stages throughout the life of a person. To do this, choose a person that you can interview who is over the age of 65. During this interview you are going to ask them about their experiences at each of Erikson’s eight stages of psychosocial development. Prior to the interview, you should write a set of questions that will clearly help you to determine the outcome of Erikson’s crisis at each stage of their life.
Upon completion, you should complete the attached chart and write a 300- to 500-word reflection covering the following points:

How evident was Erikson’s stages in the interviewee’s life?
Based on your interview, did you find support for Erikson’s theory of development?
What were some of the key events from a psychosocial perspective that have influenced the personality development of your interviewee?
After reading about Erikson’s stages in your text as well as the insights you gained from your interview, what recommendations would you make to parents to help their child successfully develop from a psychosocial perspective?

Directions for completing the chart:

Column 3: Summary of the conflict. Here you will define both possible outcomes at each stage. For example, how are trust and mistrust defined in Erikson’s first stage?
Column 4: Outcome of the conflict. Based on what you heard from the interviewee, what was their outcome for each stage? For example, did they move out of the first stage in a state of trust or mistrust? Here you will simply list trust or mistrust in the column, and so on.
Column 5: Evidence of outcome. Here you will support the conclusion you drew in Column 4 with evidence form the person’s life gained from the interview. For example, what information did you receive from the interviewee that led you to choose the outcome of trust in Column 4?

solved we looked at technology-based industries and the management of innovation.

we looked at technology-based industries and the management of innovation. For this week’s assignment, review Tesla: Disrupting the Auto Industry, Case 12 (in your textbook). Remember: A case study is a puzzle to be solved, so before reading and answering the specific case study questions, develop your proposed solution by following these five steps:
1.Read the case study to identify the key issues and underlying issues. These issues are the principles and concepts of the course area which apply to the situation described in the case study.
2.Record the facts from the case study which are relevant to the principles and concepts of the course area issues. The case may have extraneous information not relevant to the current course area. Your ability to differentiate between relevant and irrelevant information is an important aspect of case analysis, as it will inform the focus of your answers.
3.Describe in some detail the actions that would address or correct the situation.
4.Consider how you would support your solution with examples from experience or current real-life examples or cases from textbooks.
5.Complete this initial analysis and then read the discussion questions. Typically, you will already have the answers to the questions but with a broader consideration. At this point, you can add the details and/or analytical tools required to solve the case.
