solved QUESTION: How did the crime/trial reflect the notion of what
/in /by adminQUESTION: How did the crime/trial reflect the notion of what was criminal in that period and what does it tell you about the culture at that time in US history? You will want to give a brief overview of the trial or crime (depending on your focus), but most of your paper will be analysis and contextualization of the primary source in the secondary sources. This is a 1500-word-maximum research paper. This paper is analytical, not descriptive. Therefore, do not give a lengthy account of the crime or the trial, rather address this main question. In thinking about the main question, bear in mind these smaller questions: How did this crime connect to larger society and other events at that time? Was this an isolated incident or connected to much larger events? What sectors of society did it involve? How was the crime either exemplar or peculiar to the changes in understandings of what was criminal and what was legal at the time? You must have a thesis statement in your introduction paragraph (a single sentence that sums up the main argument/point of your paper and provides an answer to your main research question. Do NOT rephrase the question; rather give the answer!) Each paragraph must start with an analytic topic sentence that connects back to and supports your thesis. See the grading rubric for a more thorough understanding of how the paper will be graded.FORMATTING: It MUST be an MS Word file (.doc or .docx) 1 Inch Margins all-around. 12 Pt Times New Roman font. Double-spaced. Regular indentations on each paragraph. Include page numbers. (maximum 1500 words, excluding footnotes, your name and title, etc, this word limit is strictly enforced).CITATIONS: Citation format for this paper is Chicago Style. You must cite ALL information that you take from them, not just quotations. See the Citations help sheet on Blackboard in the Week 10 section.

/in /by adminThis assignment focuses on content area words. ESL students (and many native speakers) tend to have particular difficulty with them. This assignment has 3 parts:Part 1:Choose a textbook. This can be any textbook, it doesn’t have to be for your current or future students.Give a citation for the textbook and page numbers used for this assignment. (If you need assistance with citing references in APA format, here’s a link: https://owl.purdue.edu/owl/research_and_citation/apa_style/apa_formatting_and_style_guide/general_format.html (Links to an external site.)Check your citation – sometimes students give me just the title of the text, or the title and author. I’m looking for an actual APA style citation that includes page numbers.Select at least 6 words that are content specific to the chapter. List them and define them (because I might need the background info :)Part 2:Think about teaching these words to students, and answer these 5 questions in at least a couple sentences for each one:(pages 258-263 may be helpful to review and refer to as you answer these, particularly p. 259)How will you relate the “new” to the known? How will you offer repetitions of the new words in meaningful contexts? How will you provide opportunities for deeper processing of word meaning of this set of words? How will you engage students in using these newly learned words? What strategies will you offer students to use independently and understand new word sets such as these in the future? (2-3 ideas) (Note – so not further work on the set of words you were taking about in 1-4, but new sets they will encounter in the future)Part 3:Discuss how this vocabulary exercise and the activities above (#1-5) apply to English learners. Is their experience the same as native speakers? Why or why not? Would you do the same things for both groups? Why or why not? (minimum 4 sentences)

/in /by adminFour-Week Journal of Behavioral Modification:Start your chosen behavior change and monitor how it goes for a four week period. At the end of each week, write a half-page to one-page (100-250 words) journal entry (include the date for each entry) describing your progress thus far in specific, measurable terms including how frequently you engaged in the problem behavior and how frequently you successfully changed the behavior, as well as any challenges or obstacles that you experienced. Some people prefer to include a behavior tracking/monitoring sheet as well, which you can create on your own or find online. Your journal entry should also include discussion of revisions to your change plan that you made or plan to make for the next week, sources of support for making the change that you found helpful, and benefits of the change that you are noticing.Example Journal Entry: “Oct 20th, 2017. Week One Journal: I began my plan to cut down and quit smoking this week. I smoked two cigarettes this week, one on Monday morning and one on Thursday night. This first week was harder than I expected when it came to not smoking during the stress of preparing for an exam on Monday and when I was out with friends on Thursday. On the other days, it seemed to help when I remembered to fill up my water bottle and when I could safety reach the gum in my bag while I was driving. I haven’t bought a pack of cigarettes in over two weeks, so that’s nice as well. When I fill up my car with gas, I plan to pay at the pump and not go inside the store to break that old stimulus cue of buying cigarettes when I get gas.â€During your journal weeks, refer back to your Part 2 submission to review your plan, anticipated behavior and thinking changes, and anticipated obstacles to reflect on how the lived experience of making this change compares to your expectations.
solved 1.There are several potential problems that are already affecting the
/in /by admin1.There are several potential problems that are already affecting the criminal justice system. As many people are commiting more crimes, over crowding and the population is one of the biggest problems that is being faced along with having the room to house all of those that are incarcerated. The lack of certain resources that should be provided to some and not to others could pose a problem for future funding due to the unbalancing of treatment. The only way to solve this problem would be to try and educate those that are getting in trouble from early ages. These are the targeted groups that are likely to commit crimes that will land them in prison. WIthout enough resources and for some enough time I do not really seeing this happen. Releasing those that are in prison with minor offenses such as fraud should have other means for rehabilitation, this crime is bad but its not as bad as murdering someone2.There are many different future problems in the correctional system. Some of things which will continue to be over crowding in the prison setting. Another thing is going to be underfunding. If the crime rates keep going up and up, then there will need to be more officers in the jails and prisons which will cause underfunding. Things that have lead or will lead to these things are crime rates. They will forever grow unless something major happens to where it does not. I feel as if we can solve these issues by putting people on parole and probation more. This is will allow for there to be some change, and things to get figured out better than what is really going on. If it a small crime such as drug charges (to an extent), then they should not get prison time. That should be saved for rapist and murders. This will all effectively show improvement in the system and show others that it is not really a “game” to get into that type of trouble.
