Select a work of art that you really like and write an analysis of it, using the prompts below. The writing should be original and sincere. I recommend that you DO NOT read the museum description because students often find it difficult to find their own voice once they have read something by the experts.Identify the artwork (title, artist if known, materials, and museum)Provide a summary assessment of the artwork. You might think of it as a movie review or a headline [ex. “It is a monotonous and somber painting.”]Analyze the elements and principles that contribute to your assessment. It is best to move from general observations to specific examples, followed by analysis. [ex. “The color palette is achromatic. [General statement] The artist uses mostly medium-tone grey, black, a small amount of white. [More explanation] For example…(provide the specific examples in the composition). [Details from the artwork] Because of the drab, dark tones, the overall mood is sad. [Analysis]In the conclusion, explain why you chose the artwork. Reflect on the benefits of taking this class and your appreciation of the artwork. You must embed the image of the artwork

solved Week 5 Assignment – Due June 23 As we move
/in /by adminWeek 5 Assignment – Due June 23
As we move further into the twentieth century, we have access to audio/visual primary sources, which means we don’t always have to just read sources. This week you’ll listen to Franklin Roosevelt’s first Fireside Chat, which you can access here. (The audio can be accessed at the top using the play button. There’s a transcript of the speech if you click on “View Transcript” for reference in case the recording is unclear in places or you’d like to follow along.)
First listen to FDR’s radio address. What message did Roosevelt communicate in this first broadcast to the American people? Keeping in mind the context of what was happening with regard to the American economy in early 1933, what effects do you believe he hoped to achieve through this form of communication? In responding to the prompt, consider not only Roosevelt’s message but also his word choice and the tone. How does being able to actually listen to his address assist us as historical researchers?
Then read FDR’s First Inaugural Address in For the Record (pages 203-205). Â Keeping in mind what you heard in FDR’s first fireside chat and what you have been reading in Chapter 23 of America, to what extent did FDR live up to the promises made in his First Inaugural Address?

Directions: This is our first time being “in class†so please take a few minutes to tell me a bit about yourself while you also think about your own views and sociological perspectives after reading Chapters 1 and 21. Your Module 1 Critical Thinking Assignment is to:
Tell me what you do, where you live in the world, your education and professional goals, and your life experiences as you have aged. It is important that you think about your family and social experiences that have helped shape your values and beliefs about people and your world.
As this is a sociology class and you should have read and learned about the major sociological perspectives, be sure to use at least one paragraph of your essay to tell me: “if you were a sociologist would you lean more toward the conflict, functionalist, or interactionist view when you look at the world and why?†Be specific about the perspective you choose and make sure you completely explain it to the best of your understanding.
Address WHY you feel more aligned with a particular perspective. This should include how your social world, family, upbringing, life experiences, and social exposures have helped shape your world beliefs. You must critically think about the perspective and yourself and connect the two.

/in /by adminFor this assignment propose a scenario where you or someone you know are confronted with a moral dilemma relating to cultural diversity and multiculturalism.Â
Cultural diversity refers to religious, sexual, racial, and other forms of social difference. A moral dilemma is a situation in which one must make a decision between two or more options such that the options involve seemingly ethical and/or unethical conduct. Address the following questions:
What was the situation? What did the dilemma involve?
What would a subjective moral relativist say is the right approach to the dilemma? Why would that kind of relativist say that?
What would a cultural relativist say is the right approach to the dilemma? Why would that kind of relativist say that? Is that approach correct?
What did you the person confronting the dilemma decide to do? What moral justification did they give? Is that approach morally correct?
Was there an objective moral truth (the objectively right thing to do) in this situation? Why or why not?
Remember, the dilemma should be detailed with description and dialogue. Regard the questions as requirements. This is an essay, so rather than simply providing a list of brief answers to questions, provide an in-depth reflection regarding a difficult ethical situation..

/in /by adminThis essay must be well-written, and free of spelling and grammatical errors. The essay will be judged on the quality of your understanding of your chosen topic and discussion of the historiography. You should be able to organize a large body of material and facts (and too few facts that are reliable) in order to produce a coherent argument about your topic that is well organized and supported by primary and secondary sources.
Style: Times New Roman 12 point
Referencing: you should use Chicago Style (footnote) referencing
Length: at least 2,000 words
Sources: at least 5 different sources (use both primary and secondary sources). Use academic sources only. Avoid the internet as a secondary source (it can be useful for preliminary research but look up the references and use them instead). The library has a small collection of books and journals but does has access to many more online. Use JSTOR to find scholarly articles. Primary sources can be harder to find and you may need to use an online version. This is fine but be careful that it is from a reliable source. There are some links on BlackBoard that may be useful.

/in /by adminRead the Case “Introducing Scrum at P2P – PART A & PART B” at the end of the chapter 16 and response to the following questions:Kendra Hua had worked for six years as a software engineer in the IT department at Point 2 Point (P2P), a large freight moving company. She liked her job and the people she worked with. While she did some maintenance work, she worked primarily on projects, usually full time. Her work covered a wide range of projects including system upgrades, inventory control, GPS tracking, billing, and customer databases. These projects were typically able to meet project requirements but were consistently late. Within the IT department it was common practice for a betting pool to emerge regarding completion dates. The rule of thumb was to take the original schedule and multiply it by 1.5 and start guessing from then on.(Rest of case not shown due to length.)PART AHow well is Scrum working? What are the issues confronting the Big Foot project?Assume you are Kendra. What would you want to say at the retrospective? How would you say it?What improvements or changes need to be made?PART BHow would you assess P2P’s effort at introducing ScrumWhat challenges does an organization face when adopting an Agile approach like Scrum? What could P2P have done to enhance success?

/in /by adminApply an EDM to the case of Patrice (see below). Use the ACA or ASCA standards and EDM applies to your professional goals as a school counselor. As a school counselor, how would you handle this case as presented to you? Choose one depending on your specialty area.Patrice: As a counselor, you begin working with a young African-American woman who came for counseling because her mother was worried about her perfectionism and her isolating herself sometimes for periods of time. The mother asked you to visit with her. Patrice is an honor student in high school and a good athlete. She works out for extended periods of time.Patrice agreed to see you and said she does “worry about things†and she simply needs to “quit being so hard on myself.†Patrice has seen you over several sessions, talking about herself and her future, when she reveals some self-induced vomiting after meals. She sees herself as “fat,†and is really fearful of her weight getting out of control. You are not sure what this means, but you are wondering about an eating disorder. Patrice does not want you to share this with her mother, unless it is in a session with you. You don’t have any experience working with an eating disorder (Adapted from Remley & Herlihy, 2005.
