InstructionsYou are working for a local department store in the Operations Department. You notice that their business practices and use of technology are not up to date. One day while working, you are having a discussion about technology and identity formation with your supervisor. Your supervisor continues to explain that individuals and organizations have digital identities that are formed and impacted through various methods. Your supervisor continues, saying, “They can develop or change through social media, positive or negative press, word of mouth, and so on.”You begin to understand that the digital footprint of a business or organization can greatly impact their success or failure due to many factors, including the rapid dissemination of information that can occur digitally.Your supervisor, through the course of the discussion, acknowledges that you are very fluent in the area of digital identity and asks you to conduct research and create a visual presentation explaining how digital identity is formed for both individuals and organizations. Your supervisor says, “This visual presentation will be presented to not only me, but company stakeholders and your coworkers in order to help them understand how identity is formed, and how to best maximize digital identity to contribute to the overall success of our store.”Your supervisor continues, saying, “From this presentation, decision makers will be able to work on identity management and can then implement digital strategies in order to maintain or improve the store’s identity. Explore these three resources about the modern miraculous relic of Saint Frances Xavier Cabrini (3) and St. Sharbel (2). Then, post a question that explore connections between one or both saints, their relics, and/or their miracles and the cosmologies within European Christianity from the reading and the lecture. Remember, these discussions should not focus on whether or not these miracles “really happened” but on how some Christian communities understand these to happen.

Why does Saint Frances Cabrini portray a sense of miracle and help the Christian community?
In the YouTube video, “Who is St. Frances Cabrini and why is she replacing Columbus”, the narrator discusses how Cabrini became the first Saint in America to be recognized and how she replaced Columbus as an icon.
The newscaster describes how she is better than Columbus when it came to spreading Christianity (even though it was centuries later) because Cabrini did not pick sides, she did what was best for people.
Columbus on the other hand wiped out tribes and groups that did not convert to Christianity and destroyed the since of “miracle” that was first originally placed on him. With this, he has lost his reputation of being a hero.
So with that said, why does Saint Frances Cabrini portray a sense of miracle and help the Christian community? What makes her so important to the overall cosmology of the Christian community?

How do miracles affect Catholics’ relationship with God and how do their relics relate to miraculous events?
Miracles are prominent aspects of almost every religion. As the Catholic Church has developed, miracles have become even more significant to their faith. In the video titled The Canonization of St. Frances Cabrini In Catholicism, miracles play an especially important role. When a miracle occurs, it is proof that the Saint is in heaven with God. Two miracles must occur for beatification, as well, which is displayed through the miraculous events leading to St. Frances Cabrini’s beatification.
Additionally, people will pray to these Saints, hoping for God to bless them with a miracle. Relics have played an essential role in this process. In Arizona, a woman gained her eyesight back after touching relics and praying to God. One can see the connection between relics and miracles through this instance.

How do physical items become considered relics?
Faith often times have physical items that are sacred to them, with some having multiple and others having a hundred, what makes these items sacred. In the article She came and prayed asking St. Share to cure her, it talks about a mother who had an in treatable disease that had forced her blind over the course of a couple of months. According to her this was because of the relics at the church. Knowing that how do these items, that people will pray to with no doubt, gain their title of being considered a relic. What’s to stop someone from switching them out and people not noticing?

Kaltura: Capella offers learners access to Kaltura, a tool that can be used to record narrated screen-capture presentations and videos. Review Using Kaltura for information about this courseroom tool. Instead of using Kaltura, another option is to use the voice recording feature in PowerPoint. Regardless of how you choose to record your narrated presentation, you will need to make sure it is submitted in a file format your instructor is able to access.

Option B: Use the PowerPoint Template [PPTX] to create 5-minute presentation with visuals in response to the above scenario. In place of a narrated presentation, you need to include detailed speaker notes underneath every slide in your PowerPoint presentation. 

Be sure not to make the error of simply writing out what you have placed on each slide. You will be required to include in the speaker notes what you would have been saying aloud if you were recording a video. Stated another way, your notes are replacing a five-minute presentation.

By doing so, this solution could increase access to oral health care for vulnerable, low-income populations who lack insurance and are in dire need of dental care.
