Instructions: There are 6 essay questions below that address material from the second half of this course. You are free to use additional material from earlier in the course or that you gather on your own to support your answers as well. You must pick 3 QUESTIONS to answer – and each question is worth 25 points for a total of 75 points. The questions will be evaluated on completeness and how well you communicate your argument. Please put the question number beside each answer. I would expect that most questions will require an answer around 1 single-spaced page/question, although some may be a little longer and some may be a little shorter. Please also include a reference page at the end of the assignment that includes all the sources you cited in the text of the answers in APA format (and alphabetical order). 1. You have recently hired a new health information technology specialist in your unit. You provide her the 2018 Report to Congress from our course Modules (Module 14) and ask her to read it. In preparation for your onboarding meeting with her, you create a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document that goes over the most important items from the report that you think will be useful to her. The FAQ document should have 6-8 questions and answers (at least). 2. Explain the need for fiscal planning in organizations by discussing best practices in budgeting and the various types of budgets that can be employed and identifying common budget periods in health care. Finally, review the steps in the budget cycle and the role of a health care leader or manager in determining budgetary priorities (Chapter 8). 3. Compare and contrast the five models for understanding team dynamics, going beyond what just what was in the reading from our Course Modules (Module 10). Which model makes the most conceptual sense to you in thinking about teams you have been (or will be) involved in within a healthcare environment and why? 4. Consider the follow statement: “plans in and of themselves are not particularly useful; however, the planning process is invaluable”. In essay form, thoroughly explain what you believe is meant by this statement. It will be necessary to examine the statement from both directions. That is, explain the truth (or lack thereof) in the comment about plans not being especially useful, and then proceed to explain the supposedly greater value of the planning process (Strategic Planning Module 13). 5. Using the conflict model on p. 227 in the textbook as a guide, describe a conflict that you have personally been involved with or witnessed in a work environment. You can discuss a paid employment situation or one from a volunteer organization/group that you were part of. 6. A nurse comes to you with a prepared argument that he isn’t being compensated the same as the other nurses with similar years of experience, shift assignments, etc. While you can’t talk specifically about the other salaries in your unit, you know that there are more factors at play than what meets the eye. Prepare a response to this nurse highlighting other issues that may be at play to help explain the difference. Support your choices through evidence-based practices in conflict management (Module 12).

solved Why is it important for trainers and trainees to establish

Why is it important for trainers and trainees to establish rapport with each other before a training session?
Student 1(Aushaya)
As discussed in the earlier discussions there are many factors that a manager considers to develop a training sessions. It takes up time, effort and incurs costs to the business. So, it is in the best interest of the business and the managers that the training session is successful through effective learning. One crucial factor for effective learning is that both trainee and trainers have a rapport with each other. Establishing a rapport between the two parties will ensure a proper working and learning environment where by both parties can understand each other effectively. It ensures that there is good two way communication between the two which allows them to freely ask, learn and clear out any doubts or questions about the training. Without a rapport, the trainee might not be motivated to learn and may lose focus which means that they might not retain much from the training. This in end will require the organization to re-train the employees which will add up to the costs and also undermine the time and effort that the managers have given.
When I was working as a RJ, we had a training about the new equipment that the company just bought. This equipment was the latest track-master RJ set which would allow us to edit sound clips on the fly, call and receive multiple phone calls and also host multiple mics at once. Before this, we used to have a station master who would help with all these technical tasks. But after this equipment, it would basically eliminate his role. He wasn’t that happy about it. So during the training, his attitude towards the trainer was not very professional. This simply created an environment of negativity and the training session was not much fruitful than expected. Our station manager had to send us to separated training sessions for us to learn about the same equipment.
Student 2-Robert
Good rapport helps to establish the necessary positive climate needed for a successful training session, which in turn facilitates effective learning. The environment can align the goals and commitment of both the trainer and trainee into a common, productive bond. Also, by establishing rapport with the trainees, the trainer creates a better environment to influence, learn and teach, in a comfortable setting where trainees may be more likely to accept the trainer’s ideas, to share information, and to create opportunities together.
When establishing rapport, it’s very important for a trainer to research their audience. An audience analysis helps the trainer determine learning objectives for the curriculum by discovering what participants know and what they still need to learn. It will also uncover any resistance to the training, which allows the trainer to take steps to mitigate that resistance within the training design.
This analysis is also used in identifying audience specifics and adapting speech to their interests, level of understanding, attitudes, and beliefs. Taking an audience-centered approach is important because a speaker’s effectiveness will be improved if the presentation is created and delivered in an appropriate manner.

I’m working on a management discussion question and need an explanation to help me understand better.

Requirements:Write a reply minimum of 150 words for each discussion1 and discussion 2Discussion 11- the ways that a company can utilize a multigenerational team to their advantage by utilizing all the traits, experience and knowledge of people from all four generation to complete a project or task. Company can use the work experience and knowledge of management from baby boomers. Company can take technological advances and benefits from Millennials who are more educated in latest technologies.Company can gather all people from three or four generation then assign work according to their capabilities like Baby boomers are more senior so that they experience of managing a team and time management. They can help in communication of activities. Millennials are young so they are energetic so they can do physical as well as mental work in a team.2-The challenges that a multigenerational team pose for management is that having a Multi generational team can lead to communication differences because many young generation employees tend to use more informal communication, remain frank while old team members are more formal and professional so it can create difference among them.Second, the gap of generation can create conflict of interest and power in which if young employee think that he should be in charge instead of old employee then it can create problem in a multigenerational team .3-The company and management team should consider by conducting an environment of inclusive and cultural diversity. Company and management should have ethical values like respect, honesty, fairness etc because when a team member get unfair treatment by management then new employees will not get in this company. These ethical values and diversity promotion helps to attract new employees from all generations.References:https://www.servicefutures.com/barriers-managing-multigenerational-workforce-breakhttps://harver.com/blog/generational-diversity-in-the-workplace/ Discussion 2: Regarding the challenges that a multigenerational team pose for management, it is true that creating teams of multigenerational employees can boost performance, but the company needs to be aware of each generation´s expectations and needs to know what motivates each employee (Robinson-Celeste, 2015). Also, managers need to install in all team members a sense of valuing and respecting the unique skills of the other.Managers need to be aware that Baby Boomers, for example, value individual recognition, while Generation Y´s (millenials) do not like corporate rigidity and value an atmosphere where they can talk freely. Also, Gen X´s are looking for work-life balance, over salary. All these are the expectations that managers need to be aware to be able to retains these employees.REFERENCES:Robinson-Celeste, Janice, “How to manage a Multigenerational Workforce and Not Go Totally Insane”, Huffpost, September 16, 2015,https://www.huffingtonpost.com/janice-celeste/how-…Alsbury, John, “Multi-Generational Teams: How Can We All Work Together?”, Harvard Bsuness Publishing, June 3, 2015, https://www.harvardbusiness.org/multi-generational…

https://www.c-span.org/video/?190817-1/dont-elepha…Apply George Lakoff’s theory to one political issue and explain why both liberals and conservatives would be for or against a policy preference. You must first explain the family dynamics in both the Strict Father and Nurturant Parent models (explain in detail how the models work), then list, explain, and apply at least FOUR metaphors (Examples: Moral Order, Moral Nurturance, Moral Empathy and so on…) from each model (Strict Father & Nurturant Parent) to the issue position. For example, if you chose single-payer healthcare or Medicare-For-All as your issue, you will need to explain why a conservative would be opposed to or in favor of such a policy and then explain a liberal’s opposition or preference for such a policy 5. Pick any issue that interests you (same-sex marriage, gun rights, healthcare, wearing masks during Covid-19, January 6th Capitol Insurrection, etc.)6. Start your paper and discuss immediately how the Strict Father and Nurturant Parent models work. What are the dynamics in the family and outside world? This should be detailed and consistent with the lectures and reading (Moral Politics).7. Apply the models to your issue and explain why Strict Father (conservatives) and Nurturant Parent (liberals) would be in favor of or opposed to your issue position. Remember the parents represent the government and children represent the people or citizens. 8. Pick four metaphors that inform the conservative position from the metaphors in the Strict Father model (Moral Order, Moral Strength, Moral Self-interest, etc.)9. Pick four metaphors that inform the liberal position from the metaphors in the Nurturant Parent model (Moral Empathy, Moral Social Nurturance, Moral Fair Distribution, etc.) 11. Be sure to explain and describe in detail each metaphor you choose and explain how they apply to the issue position of the liberal or conservative. You will do this a total of eight times for eight metaphors. For example, Moral Empathy requires you to feel what others feel, so a liberal might be in favor of same-sex marriage because it wouldn’t feel nice not to be able to marry your life partner. 12. Be sure to fully describe the models, metaphors, and apply them in detail. This is your opportunity to showcase your understanding of Lakoff’s theory. If you can apply the models and metaphors effectively you can also argue that both liberals and conservatives would be in favor or opposed to the same policy preference, but this requires more effort and you may wish to consult me during office hours. You do not need an introduction but your paper will be assessed for the hallmarks of a college essay including proper grammar and punctuation, topic sentences, and other expectations of college writing. Your paper will be assessed through Turnitin.com and should be at least 800 words and submitted in one of the following formats: Microsoft Word (.DOC/.DOCX), OpenOffice (.ODT), WordPerfect (.WPD), PostScript (.PS), (PDF), (TXT), (RTF), (HWP), (HTML), (PPT) or Google Docspers in the following conditions may receive a zero: not submitted in a required format or a corrupted file (it can’t be read and Turnitin.com can’t assess plagiarism),

The goals of the paper are for students to:

Select a topic relevant to this course and acquire the appropriate research and data about the topic.
Apply the concepts, tools, and techniques of the course to your project or research question
Analyze the research
Make interesting and useful recommendations.

The topic or subject of the paper must be one that is covered in the course lectures.  For example, if you work for an entertainment company you might want to focus your research on cost and schedule management for a film budget.  If your company can provide data on their cost and schedule management all the better.  Questions you might ask are:  What are the major cost and schedule risks in film budgeting?  How are those risks mitigated at your company?  How do you monitor the risks?  What are the environmental factors that impact your budget and schedule?  How can these environmental factors be controlled?
You may not be able to find answers to all your questions, so one or two may be sufficient. You may also do a literature review where you may find supporting research on cost and schedule management in the entertainment industry.  However, it is strongly recommended that you pick a topic, organization or company you are familiar with so that you can ask for and obtain relevant data and information . Using a known organization also shortens the learning curve.  Do not select a topic that is overwhelming – keep it simple and focused.  We are available to assist you throughout the course in defining your topic.
At the end of this document you will find a list or resources along with possible topics that may help you generate your own ideas for resources and research topics.  There are thousands of topics you could choose from but you only need to select one that is relevant to the course but also your professional interests.
Length:
The length of the paper should be approximately 10 double-spaced pages. The title page, abstract, references, and appendices do not count in the 10 pages, so you are encouraged to add supporting graphics and data in the appendices.
Use Microsoft Word for your paper, 12-point font, and number the pages.
Remember to submit your paper as a Microsoft Word document. Do not submit a PDF version of your paper!
Appendices should immediately follow the body of the document. All charts, graphics, and tables included in the appendices or in the body of the document should be appropriately referenced. A References section should be at the end of your document following your appendices. You are encouraged to focus on academic references.
You may include as many appendices as you like. The appendices may contain figures, charts, graphs, tables, and data, and these should not include much text beyond that necessary to explain the figure, or to provide a title or reference for the figure. These can be in any format that you find convenient. All charts that you develop for the paper should follow the guidelines of the tutorial in Lecture 2.
Recommendations:
There must be a final recommendations section. Recommendations should be based on your research and analysis. This is a research paper, so the recommendations should be supported by research.

MadhavaSarma and Stephen O. Andersen”The Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer is the most successful environmental agreement ever, and the Antarctic Treaty was a research platform for the science that was instrumental in protecting the ozone layer. The Montreal Protocol is the only international agreement with participation of all 196 countries of the world, and it is the only environmental agreement to be on track to achieve all of its goals. The foundation of its success is science and technology, including the science discovered in Antarctica. Collaboration has been established between scientists, governments, NGOs, media, and UN organizations: science leading to understanding, understanding leading to policy, policy leading to implementation, and implementation leading to global environmental protection. If there were no Montreal Protocol, stratospheric ozone would have decreased by two-thirds, ultimately resulting in death and disability from tens of millions of cases of skin cancer, cataracts, and suppression of the human immune system, and would have irreparably damaged agriculture and ecosystems, which would have resulted in even more misery.”Watch the video “The Antarctic Ozone Hole: From Discovery to Recovery, A Scientific Journey: To understand the process of how science was able to successfully inform policy, read the article “Science and Diplomacy: Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer”After watching the video and reading the Science and Diplomacy article, complete the worksheet on the Montreal Protocol below. Assessment 1 Instructions: Mission Statement

Develop and write your personal mission statement.Introduction
A well-written mission statement can provide the momentum and motivation to take a company to the next level. The same is true of personal mission statement. If you thought about yourself as a company, what would you say about yourself? What values drive you? What is your marketing message? What is your reason for doing what you do?While many organizations have mission statements, few individuals do. What is the purpose of a mission statement? How is it created? What types of things should go into a mission statement?A lot of thought and reflection should go into the drafting of a mission statement, whether for an organization or an individual. Drafting a personal mission statement forces you to think deeply about your life and your experiences and helps you identify what really matters to you. solved Microsoft Case Study Case studies are an essential learning strategy

Microsoft Case Study
Case studies are an essential learning strategy in business classes as they provide an opportunity for you to critically analyze events that have taken place in real-life businesses. This develops your critical thinking and research skills as you research the competition and industry in which your business resides in order to formulate a recommendation for the challenges faced by the company.
For this unit, review the “Marketing Excellence: Microsoft” case study on pp. 94–95 of your textbook. This assignment will be comprised of two parts; one part will ask you to respond to questions, and the other will require you to complete a case analysis.
Part 1
Evaluate this case and respond to each of the following questions using both theory and practical managerial thinking.

Evaluate Microsoft’s product and marketing evolution over the years. What has the company done well, and where did it falter?
Evaluate Microsoft’s recent expansion into areas such as search engines and smartphones. Do you think these are good areas of growth for Microsoft? Why, or why not?
Review the potential ethical implications of Microsoft’s situation. How might they revise their strategies to align with good ethical practices?

Your Part 1 response must be at least two pages in length. Follow APA Style when creating citations and references for this assignment. Note that you will submit Part 1 and Part 2 in one document.
Part 2
Complete a case analysis of Microsoft. This requires that you conduct research on Microsoft beyond the case study material in the textbook. In the case analysis, you will look at the situational analysis, problem, and alternatives, and you will provide a recommendation. Refer to the instructions below as you construct your analysis.

Situational Analysis

Discuss the external environment through the compilation of a PEST (political, economic, sociocultural, and technology) analysis.
Discuss the internal and external environment through the compilation of a SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats) analysis.

Problem

Identify at least one organizational problem that Microsoft is currently having or one that you project it will have in the future. Base this on your research and critical thinking.

Alternatives

Compile three or four potential marketing-related solutions to the problem above. Remember that these are potential alternatives; you will not select all of the alternatives to solve the problem.

Recommendation (Marketing Strategy)

Select one or two of the alternatives above to solve the problem that you identified in this case analysis.
Discuss your rationale for choosing these and not the others. Include supporting research that will increase the depth of your analysis.

In order to successfully complete Part 2 of this case study, you need to review the video and task learning guides (TLGs) below. The following resources will provide you with the skills to research industries/competitors.
