solved The fox is right up there with the wolf in

The fox is right up there with the wolf in terms of inspiring tales and myths throughout history across the world, particularly foxes of the shape-changing variety–ranging from Cree stories about “Fox-Woman” and Hopi stories about “Letaiyo Kachina” to the ever-popular Japanese stories about “kitsune.”
But perhaps no culture has as elaborate a fox spirit mythology as the Chinese. By the Tang dynasty (618-907 C.E.) in China, fox worship and communication with fox spirits through divination was widespread across the entire Chinese Kingdom, and the fox spirit (known as the “huli jing”) was one of the most popular characters in literature.
Typically female, or non-binary, this being can represent many different things, depending on the author. But the most popular symbolic meaning tends to be:
a*things are not always what they seem,
b*human and animal nature are connected in ways that we don’t usually recognize
c*identity is fluid and ever changing
d*erotic/sex energy is dangerous
e*the wisdom of the spiritual world gives new perspectives on our everyday life
With this in mind, I want you to read one short piece of literature, an 18th century Chinese fable about the huli jing, uploaded under Content?Readings. It’s by Ji Yun, one of the most important politicians of 18th century China (serving in such roles as Head of the Department of War and Chief Librarian) as well as a famous Chinese writer.
After you read this fable, I then want you to watch the short anime about the huli jing also uploaded under Content?Readings. It’s based on a short story by the contemporary writer Ken Liu. Trigger warning: there are depictions of [anime] violence in this short piece. I’ve edited out the most egregious ones but if you need to skip a minute ahead here and there–please do so. Or alternatively, feel free to read the text the anime is based on, which is available here
http://strangehorizons.com/fiction/good-hunting-part-1-of-2/, rather than watching the anime.
After you read the one piece and watch the other, simply write here about:
1*The similarities and differences of the depiction of the huli jing in the two pieces. Does the huli jing, for example, symbolize different things in the 18th century fable versus the 21st century anime? Similar things? What are these?

solved Assignment descriptionThe time described in the case study did much

Assignment descriptionThe time described in the case study did much to set up the relationships between the global Teach for All coordinating organization and the many national organizations. Good relationships have been developing between Teach for All and local staff, network partners, alumni, and children. Now following that important work, the Teach for All board is starting to hear rumblings of a rift forming with parents of children involved in the Teach for All network. In a recent survey, 65% of parents agreed with the statement, “I don’t receive adequate information from Teach for All” and only 32% agreed with the statement, “I see a clear benefit for my children to be taught by Teach for All teachers”. Possibly as a result, several network schools have reported having trouble bringing parents in to support classes or to teach the children out of class. Teach for All understands that parents play an important role in their children’s education and also in promoting and legitimizing Teach for All’s work. The board has asked you to put together a report on Teach for All’s relationship with parents in network countries to diagnose what might be contributing to this low engagement. How to prepareThe problem is defined above, now you have to diagnose the possible causes for this problem. Diagnosis is an analysis that seeks to define the major causes responsible for the problem. The causes of a problem can often be connected to the nature of the problem: financial problems may have accounting problems and manpower problems may have human resources causes. In this case, an engagement problem will have communication causes. The causes of a problem will rarely be clear-cut in a case analysis or in real life. So detecting and organizing the causes is careful work that requires patience. You will want to sort through the Teach for All case carefully for finding causes https://vol10.cases.som.yale.edu/teach-all. You may also want to use a tool like the Harvard Business School Case Study Aid for Problem diagnosis scenarios. For this paper, you only need to explore the causes of the problems.Format8”x11” (letter) size paper with 1” margins.Times New Roman, 12pt, single spaced font.Maximum 4 pages. If you have any q let me know! thanks!!

solved Does culture stand the t est of time? I believe

Does culture stand the t est of time? I believe the world continues to change and I believe that culture will change along with the workforce. I think the concepts of producing a quality product and treating employees with respect are foundations that should last through the life span of the business. To make a company great, you have to take a hard look at what you are doing and determine what needs to change. According to Jim Collins in “Good to Great”, It is more important to figure out the who rather than the where. Who you have on your bus is crucial. David Maxwell took over Fannie Mae in 1981 and they were losing $1 million a day. He interviewed all of the staff and told them there were only room for managers who would give an A+ effort on the bus. He told them now is time to decide either you get on the bus or you jump off. 14 out of 26 employees jumped off the bus. These positions were filled by the smartest, best and hardest-working employees he could find. The results were towards the end of his career with Fannie Mae in 1991, they were making $4 million a day. Even after he left, they still maintained the levels of success because of the people he had hired.Sometimes the culture does have to change for survival of the company. There are life stages in business just like in life. There is the infancy stage where the idea for the business is formed and shaped and the commitment is there because the founders are there. Then the business moves into mid-life and there the company is faced with problems of succession. The founders do not want to let go and the new CEO wants to make changes that he feels will benefit the business. The next stage is maturity and this is where the business faces the decline. This is where it is important to look at the culture and take the business from good to great. This is done by examining the issues and making hard decisions.I believe some parts of the culture can survive but everything has to morph and change with the times or it will just be swallowed up by the competition.ReferencesCollins, J. Nursing as Discipline, Profession, and ScienceWeekly Objectives 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 will be addressed in this discussion. In order to post to this forum, complete the Week 1 readings and presentations. You will then need to conduct a literature search to identify a scholarly article to include as a reference. Be sure you know what a “scholarly reference” is; see 18200 Library Guide tab “Journal Types” for more information.Access the library to conduct your literature search. The 18200 Library Guide a good place to start and provides a wealth of information pertinent to this discussion and the remainder of the course. Remember the PNW Writing Center available to you. This is an excellent service for students seeking to develop their writing regardless of ability level. Lastly, refer to your APA manual as needed.Instructions:Nurse scholars have claimed that nursing is both a discipline and a profession. In order to understand these claims, we must first know what it means for nursing to have a “unique body of knowledge.” If we assume that nursing does, indeed, possess a unique body of knowledge, we can claim that nursing is a “basic science” rather than an “applied science.” Despite these claims, debate continues about nursing as discipline, profession, and science. Is nursing a discipline? A profession? Is nursing a basic science and/or applied science? In your initial post, state what you think about nursing as discipline, profession, and science. Explore the literature beyond that assigned to you for this week’s readings to help you formulate your position. You should include the following:What is a discipline? What is a profession? What’s the difference? What are examples of each?Does nursing fit the criteria for a “discipline” and “profession”?What is a “basic science”? What is an “applied science”? What’s the difference? Is nursing a “basic” or “applied” science?Support your statements with scholarly references. You may use those from the assigned readings for this module, but you must also select and use (via your literature search) a minimum of one scholarly reference outside of assigned readings in your initial post.Present your posts and replies in a professional, scholarly manner. Use the APA publication manual to format citations and references.
