1) Networking is a vital way to market yourself. Online networking is an accessible way to make connections with people in your field. How do you plan on taking advantage of the online forums available to you as a GCU graduate student? How can attending events, meetings, or conferences relevant to the industry you work in (or would like to work in) assist you in staying motivated?***Use the GCU Library for sources (https://library.gcu.edu/ )The DQ response must be at least 200 words and should have at least one reference in APA format2) Write a 100-word response to the student in first person as if you were writing it to the students. Talk about how you agree with their ideas and add your own thoughts. Make sure it’s respectful.Student’s response: Networking through class students can be a valuable tool for generating ideas and how to associate interest in the job market, especially with students in the same degree program (Master’s). Also, researching GCU’s library for webinars offers tips for job seekers. Sometimes, by reading student bio’s, one might find another student from the same state that can offer some great job tips in particular areas not far from one’s home location. Networking can work in a variety of different ways and with an advantage for everyone. In January 2007, Emst & Young became one of the first employers to use Facebook as a recruiting tool for job networking. Since other large professional services, for example, “staffing agencies” followed that lead for job marketing and becomes another formal way to recruit services and networking. “Journal of Accountancy”, April 2007; the authors suggested that ‘social networking sites could operate as a new “grapevine,” and continue linking recruits to former classmates that already have been hired. The core of social networking has several useful purposes as well as opportunities, and not only for jobs but to maintain associations for many years (Herbold, J., & Douma, B. 2013).ReferencesHerbold, J., & Douma, B. solved A true Six Sigma process aims for a centered process

A true Six Sigma process aims for a centered process with Cpk = 1.5. That is, while keeping the process mean at the center (of the specification limits), it also puts the specification limits in 4.5 standard deviations away on both sides.
One hundred insurance claim forms are inspected daily at Full Life Insurance Co. over 25 working days, and the number of forms with errors have been recorded in the worksheet Prob. 8-42 in the C08Data.xlsx (In Lecture Note section, textbook data folder) file. Use 3 as the control distance.
When the process mean is 0, the process standard deviation is 1, the sample size is 64, and the control distance is 2.56, what is the probability of detecting a mean shift of +0.5 (therefore, the new mean is 0.5, SD unchanged.) To simplify the problem, we assume the population distribution will follow a normal distribution, therefore heuristic values won’t be needed.

(Hint: Although this problem does not give you specific value for important process parameters, such as process mean, standard deviation, specification limits, you can still solve it by relying on the information provided above. For example, you can substitute with your own values for those parameters.)

Calculate the DPMO in this case. (Note: round the answer to the next integer.)
Please re-calculate the DPMO when the process mean is shifted to the right by 1.5 standard deviation. (Note: round the answer to the next integer.)
Now, let’s compare the process with a centered process with Cpk = 1.00. What is the DPMO for this new process?
When a system operates on Cpk = 1.5, even the mean shifts within ± 1.5 standard deviation, it still generates less defects than a system with Cpk = 1.0. Please discuss what are two important factors that allow you to have such a big Cpk. (Hint: think about the equation for Cpk).
Construct a p-chart. If any points occur outside the control limits, assume that assignable causes have been determined. Then construct a revised chart. Copy and paste your Excel generate control chart as a picture below.
Using the same data, construct an np-chart. Copy and paste your Excel generate control chart as a picture below.
Does the np-chart detect something that p-chart did not? Intuitively, what is the advantage of using an np-chart?

solved Paper details: For the sake of argument, let’s stipulate that

Paper details:
For the sake of argument, let’s stipulate that a fetus is a person and so has a right to life. What does Thomson think that this stipulation entails about the permissibility of abortion? In answering this question, be sure to distinguish between different kinds of pregnancies ( those that are the result of rape, those that jeopardize the mother’s life, those that came about through consensual sex with or without the use of birth control) and to explain the reasoning Thomson uses to reach her conclusions. In presenting her conclusions, make sure to explain a distinction between cases in which abortion may be immoral (perhaps ‘indecent’ is a better way to put it), but still permissible. Do you agree with Thomson’s conclusion that abortion is almost always permissible up until the time, say, when the fetus is viable outside the womb? If not, where does Thomson’s reasoning go wrong?
In writing this paper, make sure to include in your introductory paragraph a clear description of what you’ll be doing in the paper (e.g. “In this paper I will be examining Thomson’s reasons for thinking that abortion is permissible across a range of different kinds of pregnancies You’ll also want to include in this paragraph an indication of what these different sorts of pregnancies are, how Thomson’s reasoning starts with the assumption that fetuses are persons, and allows for a distinction between abortions that would be indecent but still permissible. Finally, you’ll want to gesture at the stand you’ll be taking (e.g. “I will argue that Thomson is right/wrong about X because she succeeds/fails to show Y”). A solid intro paragraph should provide you with a map for constructing the rest of the paper.
If defending Thomson, you need to do more than simply repeat her reasoning. You should defend her by considering a plausible objection to her account and then providing a compelling response to this objection (sort of like what I do in the video when responding to an objection that Al Roy Parrish raises to Thomson’s discussion of the permissibility of abortion in cases involving consensual sex). If criticizing Thomson, be sure to be clear about which of her claims you think is false and why, or which inference she makes is invalid.

Part 1
Americans hold their rights and freedoms guaranteed by the Constitution and The Bill of Rights as sacred and are willing to die to preserve them. The questionable covert surveillance program initiated by the Bush White House and the National Security Agency (NSA) heightens the tensions. Can a balance be struck?

Respond to the following:

Explain why there must be a balance between laws protecting the public from terrorism and Constitutional rights, i.e. Can civil liberties and homeland security achieve balance?

Part 2
The Homeland Security & Defense Business Council 20/20 Project on the Homeland Security Enterprise conducted a survey about issues confronting the Department of Homeland Security in Fall of 2015. The leaders throughout DHS and industry cite substantial progress made over the 12+ years since DHS’ establishment, as well as awareness that gaps and challenges still exist. Current government officials and industry executives all feel these challenges are not insurmountable.
However, management obstacles remain and pose a threat to mission achievement. Significant steps are being taken at headquarters, directorates, and components to address these obstacles, including Unity of Effort. Cultural shifts within the organization require an enterprise-level strategy with clear objectives that receive broad support from every part of DHS. The workforce that will drive this change faces its own threats. A generation of leaders on the verge of retirement coupled with challenges in hiring and retaining new employees and poor succession planning present fundamental threats that must be addressed.
Respond to the following:

Explain why Homeland Security continues to be an evolving concept?  In your response be sure to include your position on the size of DHS? i.e. is DHS too large to carry out its mission? Defend your position.
