Part 1: Interest RatesMany managers do not understand the various ways that interest rates can affect business decisions. For example, if your company decided to build a plant with a 30-year life and short-term debt financing (renewed annually), the cost of the plant could skyrocket if interest rates were to return to their previous highs of 12% to 14%. On the other hand, locking into high, long-term rates could be very costly also with a long period when low short-term interest rates were to be available. As you can see, the ability to know your economic environment and its impact on projected interest rates can be crucial to making good financing decisions.Describe two to three macroeconomic factors that influence interest rates in general. Explain the effects of each factor on interest rates. Now think about the industry in which you are employed or one in which you have past experience. To what macroeconomic factors is your industry most sensitive?Describe two contemporary factors that seem to be impacting your industry today, and identify their impacts on the interest rates experienced within your chosen industry.Support your comments with your own experiences, the weekly resources, and/or additional research. Use APA throughout and provide appropriate in-text citations and references.Part 2: Stock Valuation, Risk and ReturnsStock valuationDividend Discount Model Stock ValuationHow to value a company using discounted cash flow (DCF)Stock Valuation and Investment DecisionsThe links above contain information on stock valuation, risk, and returns. Please review each one of them. Based on the knowledge gained from the materials presented in the links above, complete the following activities:Present a detailed discussion of what you learned about stock valuation. Provide examples of how your company has used the concepts. Do you believe financing a company’s operation using stock is better than financing with bonds? Why or why not? Support your discussion with a numerical example.Based on the materials presented in the “Risk and Return” video, present a discussion on why the materials are important in financial decision making. How would you incorporate risk and return in your financing decisions?

Purpose of Assignment
The purpose of this assignment is to give students the opportunity to demonstrate knowledge and skills acquired in human resource evaluation.  The project will incorporate multiple parts in order to develop a final presentation. First was the situational analysis (partnership assignment), then benchmarking and summarizing best practices (individual assignment), now the needs assessment (group assignment) will set the groundwork for the final recommendations. A needs assessment will integrate critical aspects generated from the situational analysis and best practices as related to the sustainable human resource management practices. Take into consideration the partners’ project focus and related tensions that could impact project implementation success. What is missing? Where is the gap? Have various perspectives been explored? The needs assessment should take into account micro- (the individual stakeholders), meso- (the departments within the organizational), and macro-levels (the ecosystem as a whole).

In the last Unit, you began learning about the Research Report you will be writing for the class. What difficulties and challenges do you face when writing research reports? You may share advice you have with the class for dealing with these challenges.

For me, large writing assignments can be quite daunting. When there is a set page limit, I struggle with staying on topic frequently. I often run out of things to write about before I hit the page limit. It is also a struggle to find good, reliable sources. It can be quite difficult to find credible non-biased sources especially when it comes to professional oriented papers such this upcoming research report.
My best advice would be to have a really solid outline that covers all aspects of your paper before you start writing. By using an outline, it helps you organize all your thoughts on paper and lets you get a rough idea of the shape and feel of your paper so you dont loose the bigger picture. Another solid piece of advice is to have someone besides yourself do a final proofread, its easy as the author to glaze over mis-phrasing that another external reader would be able to pick up easily.

Second peer below
A thing that comes to mind is reliable sources. There is so much information out to see than it use to be. I remember in high school a vast majority of research needed to be done from text books. It was more difficult to read through chapters and chapters to find a quote from an author. Now you can simply use key words to find everything you want. However sources can get diluted with misinformation in combination with what you want to find. You can not always click on the first source and rely heavily on it to be the best option for your research. Another issue I see in research is the way you can manage your time. Often we wait too long to put all phases of a research report together. It can be overwhelming to collect all of the data/statistics, quotes and reliable encounters to form a good foundation of a report. You have to plan ahead and decide your angle to the research. Are you trying to persuade or inform your audience? Once you decide your path you need to make sure you sources are able to support your stance.

Please read vignette and answer the question below. Responses should be based on a theoretical orientation and written in a scholarly manner. Papers will be 2-3 pages in length not including a title page, APA format (Times New Roman, 12-Point font, one inch margins, running head).
Please use the Cognitive-Behavioral theory lens. I will attach the book details. Utilize it and reference it please.
J was a 15-year-old boy who first encountered mental health treatment after he admitted to his parents that he had thoughts of hurting himself. He had been caught smoking cigarettes in his room at home by his stepfather and in the verbal altercation that followed J told his mother and stepfather that he “didn’t care anymore and wanted to die.” J’s stepfather became very angry and threw him out of the house for being disrespectful and untrustworthy. The mother then became enraged at her husband and told her husband that if he kicks out J, she is going, too.
J admitted to feeling depressed for several months prior to this episode. He wanted to be an actor and said that he did not see the point of studying or going to school. Although he did well academically in the 9th and 10th grade, his grades declined significantly in 11th grade to the point that he was ineligible to participate in extracurricular activities like the drama club. He admitted to having difficulty fitting in and was associating with the kids who skipped class and took drugs. J’s depressive symptoms included sad mood, decreased motivation, decreased energy, decreased concentration, and sleep difficulty. After breaking up with his girlfriend, he cut himself superficially on his forearm with a razor and had fleeting thoughts of suicide.
Questions:
1. How would you conceptualize (create a framework of understanding for yourself) this client through the lens of your theory?
2. What are your ethical concerns or considerations ?
3. List at least 3 treatment goals and 2 interventions for each goal would you utilize and describe why?
4. What diagnosis, if any, would fit this case and why?
5. What ethnic and cultural considerations seem particularly relevant?
Please remember this is for a clinical mental health counseling major in the US.
