The goal of this assignment is to encourage students to reach outside of their own perspective when doing research. For this bibliography students are required to annotate (I will explain what annotation is) no less than five primary sources related to a central argument and film we have/or have not covered in class. Your topic if it relates to the process of adaptation is up to you. Even if the student does not intend to use the same film/text this bibliography can serve as a framework for your final project (see below)

For this mini speech you will have an opportunity to practice using the persuasive strategies covered in last week’s module. Last week there was a ready and a video that covered ethos, pathos, and logos. Using those persuasive strategies I want you to “sell” an object to your classmates. Your mini speech should include all 3 modes of persuasion. You can sell any object you would like, however, I want you to come up with an alternative use for it. For example, if you were going to sell a fork it can’t be marketed as an eating utensil. Instead, sell it to us as a hair brush or a back scratcher. Since you are marketing a fictitious object you are welcome to make up information for this mini speech. You need to watch this sample video to know what you should talk about.

An executive summary and mission statement are the starting points for a new business (Home Health Care Staffing Agency for Physical Therapy). For this discussion, write your executive summary. It should be one page, double-spaced, using Times New Roman 12 point font and structured as described in this lesson.1.
