Students should review the Projects tab under modules and familiarize themselves with the project and requirements for each section. Â If students have not reviewed the tab or need additional information on the project, the Timeline Project Overview and Instructions have been provided as an attachment. Â
For this first milestone, students should write about their birth and infancy. Â The following are questions to keep in mind while writing this section. Â Â
Where were you born?
Who are your parents?
Discuss the culture you grew up in?
Do you have brothers and sisters?
How are the circumstances of your birth important to your development?
Others to consider:
Did your mother have prenatal care?Â
Did your mother have preeclampsia?
Were there conflicts with Rh factors?
Were you a premie? Â Did your mother have previous pre-term deliveries with older siblings?
If you were a premie, how long were you in the hospital before being released?
What if any defects or health issues were you born with?
Were you a breastfed or formula-fed baby?
Did you have a pacifier or blanket that you sucked on? Â Or were you a thumb or toe sucker? Â
Did you have a must-have toy or item?
Who did you cling to at this stage?
What were your first sounds or words?
When were you weaned from the bottle/breast?
When did you crawl?
When did you walk?
Were you sick often at this stage?
Did you sustain any serious accidents or potentially serious accidents at this stage?
Furthermore, when writing this section, think about what you have learned about human development through this course including the theories that pertain to this time of development. Â Below students will find a list of questions to consider while writing each developmental period and a chart showing some of the theorists and the area of development in which they focused. Â Keep in mind that more than one theorist or theory may be applicable to a particular time period and the instructor requires students to apply at least three theories to each stage of life. Â
Questions to Ponder:
How has heredity and genetics played a role in your life?
How have the decisions of your parents affected your life?
How have your experiences shaped your development/life?
How has your personality played a part in your life experiences?
How do you think it will play out in the future?

solved Once you’ve selected a topic, you can insert it into
/in /by adminOnce you’ve selected a topic, you can insert it into a thesis. Make sure to include to whom your topic is significant. Nothing has universal appeal, and different audiences can find different meanings in the same thing. A thesis should also clearly define why your topic is significant. Here’s a thesis I would argue: The popularity of Dungeons and Dragons soared during the Covid-19 pandemic as people have sought an activity that they can share with their friends remotely. The topic is “D&D,†its importance is to a growing and less specified audience, and this is because people are eager to participate in group activities even if they can’t meet face to face.Your next move is to gather general knowledge of your topic and its context. Much of this work can be achieved on Wikipedia. I know that at some point a teacher has told you that Wikipedia is unreliable septic tank because it is user generated; it’s actually very reliable when it comes to simple facts and general information. If you didn’t know when the Declaration of Independence was signed, Wikipedia will most assuredly tell you int happened in 1776. You absolutely need to know a good deal about what you’re writing, and Wikipedia is the best place to start. You just don’t quote from it; you wouldn’t quote a dictionary or Britannica either.Once you are sufficiently informed about your topic, you should start looking for articles and essays that support aspects of your claim. Use university library resources before wading into the World Wide Web. If you can find a “peer reviewed†academic article you should prioritize that information, but since a lot of popular culture topics are only covered in the popular media, you may be relying on newspaper, magazine, and website commentary and reviews. One way to maintain quality control over web research is to only use sites that correspond with respected print media. There isn’t a hard and fast rule for how much research you need in an essay. A good rule of thumb is at least one item per page. You might not be able to find a perfect source that asserts your exact claim. You might have to get creative. Try to research smaller aspects of your topic or adjacent topics. I might research other things friends are doing over Zoom, why social isolation is dangerous, the recent increase in popularity of tabletop games, or even the toxicity of online video gaming to support my D&D Thesis. You should also research opinions that differ from your own. This will supply you with the points you might need to counter to make an effective argument.

/in /by adminThere are two prompt options. Choose ONLY ONE prompt to respond to in your initial postOption #1: Creative Destruction In the lecture, you heard some examples of creative destruction (Netflix for example). Find a creative destruction example of your own. Justify its level of destruction using evidence and data. This may include (but is not limited to) the number of jobs lost, the number of stores that have gone out of business, etc. Put together a convincing argument of why the example you’ve found is the MOST destructive. Ideas and evidence should be original. In your opinion, is the destruction you found evidence of a good thing or a bad thing? Why or why not? Anything that is not your original work must be appropriately cited in APA format including in-text citations and references. Option #2: China and Technology Transfer Technology transfer has been a matter of great debate between China and its trade partners (especially the US). Who has benefited and who has suffered over the past 30 years or so from technology transfer between developed nations and China. Where do you see this issue going? This forum will require some outside research. Here’s a link to get you started: https://www.marketplace.org/2018/05/02/world/qa-us-delegation-china-trade-talks Primary posts should be three good paragraphs. Demonstrate that you understand the issue of technology transfer and clearly outline winners and losers. You may want to include a discussion of how this issue has changed over time as China has developed and where it is going in the future. You might also want to address how this impacts current trade talks between the US and China. How about the WTO? What might they have to do with it? You will be unable to read your classmates’ posts until you have posted your own. Anything that is not your original work must be appropriately cited in APA format including in-text citations and references.Your initial post should be 250-300 words. Please provide a response with a clear, well-formulated thesis; sentence structure, grammar, punctuation, and spelling count. Support ALL posts with appropriate rationale and citations from readings; document sources using APA format.and I will send you two other discussion you: Responses to at least two classmates’ postings should be approximately 200 words and should be thoughtful, substantial, polite, and more extensive than a simple “well done” phrase or “I agree.” Consider points of agreement, disagreement, assumptions, and value judgments. You will be able to respond to others after you submit your initial post.

/in /by adminEssay Guidelines Watch a feature film of your choice. If it is one you have seen before, watch it again before starting your essay.Write a three page analysis on the editing of your chosen film based on the editing techniques you have learned in class. Which of Eisenstein’s montage types are used, and how? Is the Kuleshov effect utilized? How has the editor chosen to structure the scenes? Does the film maintain a specific character’s point of view, or does the viewpoint change, and why? Analyze how the editing choices affect the tone of the film. Consider the pacing, transitions, the audio design, the music, and any other post production choices used to enhance the story. This is not a film review, nor should you spend time describing the plot and characters more than is required to analyze the editing. Please do not reference scenes or moments in the film based on the elapsed time when they take place. Your essay must make sense and be able to stand on its own. Please do not use phrases such as “amazing editing” unless you are actually describing what is ‘amazing” about it.Make sure to use the proper terminology for techniques and montage types that you’ve learned in this course!Part of the editing process is to understand what is important and to be able to tell a story within time limits. You should apply your editing skills to keep the essay at the appropriate length. Please deliver your essay double spaced using 12 point Times New Roman font. The essay must be submitted as either an Adobe Acrobat (.PDF) file or as a Microsoft Word (.DOC or DOCX) document.Instructor’s Note: Though music, sound design and visual effects are all important aspects of the postproduction process, the editing comes first! Thus your essays need to address the ways particular editing techniques are used and how they specifically help tell the story — once you’ve done that you can bring in music, sound design and visual effects. Also realize that talking about shots, lighting, art direction and other on-set decisions are meaningless for this essay except in the context of ways they provide the raw source material for a style of editing or transitions. Remember that specific shot sizes and types of coverage are determined on set by the Director and the Director of Photography. So any references to specific shot sizes should be within the context of how they are cut together to build sequences and move the story line forward. Likewise, you should have realized by now that the only times you should mention the 180 degree line are those when it may have been broken – and why.

solved For this assignment, you’re going to create an audio-visual slideshow
/in /by adminFor this assignment, you’re going to create an audio-visual slideshow of your research project. It should be 12-15 minutes in length, and use at minimum 15-20 slides (you are welcome to include more, but you must keep the presentation under 15 minutes). Your presentation will guide your audience through your thesis argument. You will narrate your ideas as you advance through the visual information on your slides.>>>For a student example of a presentation, watch and listen to “The American Arab & The American Muslim: (Links to an external site.)How Media Impacts Lived Experience, (Links to an external site.)” by Sundos El-Naser.Sundos provides a good model for this presentation. You’ll see that she begins with a personal introduction of herself, which is directly related to her research topic. She delivers a finely scripted narration to take us through her thesis argument. She uses well-chosen images to support her narration. Her argument is compelling, and one big reason is her artful presentation. Notice that she has very little text on her slides and not a single slide with bullet points. These are two of my requirements for this presentation assignment. Please follow her example. Please read HOW TO DESIGN YOUR SLIDESActions for a detailed list of those requirements. If you submit a presentation full of text and bullet points, you will lose 50% of the points for this assignment. An additional requirement: no slide can be displayed for more than 60 seconds. Typically 45 seconds or less is optimal. To accomplish this, you’ll need to compose a concise, efficient script for your narration. This assignment is going to require some planning. I have created numerous slideshow presentations–some over 100 slides–and I often start by drawing a column of boxes on a sheet of paper. Next to the boxes, I have two categories. The first category is: what piece of information do I need to communicate? What idea, or evidence do I need to present to my audience? The second category is: what image accomplishes that? In this category, I pick the visual image (a photograph, quote, graph, chart, screen shot, etc.) that communicates that idea or evidence. This assignment requires you to use some technology. You’ve got to assemble images and audio into a file. PowerPoint readily allows you to do this, as does Google Slides, Prezi, and numerous others. Whatever platform you want to use, you’ll find innumerable instructional videos on YouTube. Topic body image same as the research paperwrite notes at the bottom of each slide explaining add diagrams and even some qoutes

solved In the first weeks of this class, we have discussed
/in /by adminIn the first weeks of this class, we have discussed the concept of the history of sexuality. Write a short critical response paper (500+ words) in which you explain the problems inherent in defining and identifying sexual identity (as it relates to the category “homosexual,â€) OR sex/gender identity (“intersexâ€), particularly in light of the essentialism/social construction debate or, colloquially, nature vs. nurture.Whose position do you find the most compelling, and what are the political implications of these theories? Do you prefer Foucault or Jagose? Your essay is an opportunity for you to reflect on one or more key concepts through a close critical reading of one text, or a comparison of two. You may wish to pursue a theoretical question in more detail in your critical response paper. Make sure you tell me which text you are choosing. You can pick any of the ones from the modules we’ve covered (including recommended texts). Again, you can choose one to pick apart. For instance, I can spend time describing an articles and compare them to one another, describing how similar or different they are in how they deal with their respective subjects.Your essay should have a thesis and you should develop at least 3 main sub-points. In-text citations are necessary as well as a works cited listing the source you used. Any citation style is fine as long as it is consistent. It is not necessary to comprehensively critique every perspective. If you absolutely have NO IDEA what to talk about, I have provided a list. you are, however, NOT BOUND BY THIS LIST! You do not have to pick one of these items, you are absolutely free to explore your own topic. You also do not have to cover everything on this list. These are just thesis suggestions.Possible Questions/Topics to Address:The “birth of the homosexual†– when? What defines a homosexual?Medical discourse and the pathologization of non-heterosexual (queer) sexual practices/identitiesMedical discourse and the pathologization of non-normatively sexed bodiesDistinction between sexual practice and sexual identity – the cultural construction & meaning of sexuality, from ancient Greece to the present dayCapitalism and its impact on sexualitySexuality and social construction – are “homosexuals†born or made?Note: Your paper will be reviewed by TurnitIn, so please do not copy/paste from the internet or plagiarize past papers. This will result in an automatic 0. If you are quoting, make sure you quote only when necessary. In any paper, your quotes should not take up more than 20% of the paper.
solved Module 12: Strategic Recommendations Managing the multi-business corporation to meet
/in /by adminModule 12: Strategic RecommendationsÂ
Managing the multi-business corporation to meet high performance expectations is problematic. Publicly traded companies are pressured to return favorable quarterly results and as corporations grow larger and more complex, it becomes harder to manage such corporations effectively. General Electric (GE) was once one of the most admired corporations in the world. Today, GE is facing a much-reduced outlook. For this week’s assignment, read the case study found in your textbook (Case 20): Restructuring General Electric.Â
Remember, a case study is a puzzle to be solved, so before reading and answering the specific case and study questions, develop your proposed solution by following these five steps:Â
1. Read the case study to identify the key issues and underlying issues. These issues are the principles and concepts of the course area which apply to the situation described in the case study.Â
2. Record the facts from the case study which are relevant to the principles and concepts of the course area issues. The case may have extraneous information not relevant to the current course area. Your ability to differentiate between relevant and irrelevant information is an important aspect of case analysis, as it will inform the focus of your answers.Â
3. Describe in some detail the actions that would address or correct the situation.Â
4. Consider how you would support your solution with examples from experience or current real-life examples or cases from textbooks.Â
5. Complete this initial analysis and then read the discussion questions. Typically, you will already have the answers to the questions but with a broader consideration. At this point, you can add the details and/or analytical tools required to solve the case.Â
Case Study Questions:Â
1. Why was GE considered to be such an exemplary organization? (Discuss GE’s management systems and performance.)Â
2. Discuss the nature of GE’s corporate portfolio under Welch and Imelt. Did the nature of GE’s portfolio under Welch and Imelt provide superior results?Â
3. If GE’s portfolio mix gave superior results, why was it necessary to restructure the portfolio?Â
4. Why is GE’s performance no longer superior? What are the reasons for the collapse in GE’s financial performance during 2016-2018?Â
5. What should be done to return GE to higher levels of performance? Does GE need to refocus? Which businesses or products would you recommend abandoning or divesting, if any? Does GE need to make additional acquisitions to supplement existing GE assets?Â

The show features consultants sharing their expertise and insights about how to be a successful, in-demand consultants; clients revealing what want–and don’t want—from consultants; and the host, Deb Zahn, talking about topics that can help you succeed faster and balance your life.Discussion with your classmates is a vital part of learning. This assignment is intended to encourage each student to fully engage with the assignment and provide original thoughts. Your posts in the discussion forum should exhibit careful thought and logical reasoning and provide evidence for your position. Each post and classmate reply should be at least one well-developed paragraph with a minimum of six sentences. Use correct spelling, punctuation, and grammar. You are required to read and reply to other students. Saying “good job” and summarizing what a classmate has just posted does not meet the discussion board qualifications.Your replies should offer new substantiated ideas or thoughtful questions. While I encourage debate and disagreement, be courteous and respectful. Do speak your mind but remember that yours is only one opinion. Other student’s post that you need to reply: The podcast dated 28th January 2020 highlights the positives and negatives of consulting from a client’s point of view. The guest Lacey Clarke speaks about the need for consultant’s to do their homework before approaching clients for projects and maintaining a steady balance during the approach. She also makes another important point in selecting consultants based on references and discusses the importance of analytical skills, availability and content knowledge about the project. There are all key factors that differentiate between good and average consultants and it is crucial that consultants work towards impressing the clients functionally, ensuring both a positive relationship and a successful project. The podcast also discusses repeat hires of specific consultants, and Lacey mentions she prefers consultants that look out for the client, both strategically and from a creative perspective. Understanding the needs of the client and addressing them in an optimal manner is crucial for consultants today. Basic aspects such as meeting deadlines, offering creative solutions, maintaining a transparent outlook and so forth are important given the dynamics of the role of a consultant.
