Each student will be assigned an artist to research whose artwork may/or may not be in the textbook “Living with Art”.You will compare/contrast two works by the artist an early work and late period artwork.

1.
First, spend time looking thoroughly at the
work of art, and then write an analysis of it. Think in terms of
subject, form, and content.
Also,
include some information about the artist and the historical period he/she
represented.
As you analyze, look for how the elements of
art and the principles of design are used.
-How
is the artist using shape, color, line, space, and texture?
-How is the piece balanced? What rhythms are
established? Do you get a sense of movement? -How
is the artist (he/she) using these formal aspects to help convey a mood or idea?
What
do you think is the purpose of making the piece?
What
do you think they were trying to say?
2. Find another work by the artist (could be
similar in some way or different) and analyze the piece. For example,
two still-life’s, portraits, landscapes, or works with a similar theme, like
mother and child, the crucifixion, war, etc. look at both, compare, and contrast the
two.
Again, think in terms of form, subject, and
content. How are they similar? In what ways are they different? Be specific.
3.
Respond to these works of art, both
critically and personally. Do you think they are equally successful as works
of art? Why? How do they make you feel? Do you like them? Why or why not?

Assignment is due on the 5th of Jun at 11:59Chapter 5, 6, and 7 examine the arguments of some of the great political philosophers of the Western world. Specifically, these philosophers focus on issues of “the good political life.” The philosophers examine ideas like, what should the “good” political system look like? What solutions they offer to ensure the “good political life?” Other scholars like Hobbes and Locke focused on “the social contract.” Or Marx focused on the necessity of overthrowing captialism in exchange for a supposed communist utopia. (Log in information to use the book will be provided after agreeing on the price) The ancient Greek philosophers focused largely on the “polis,” i.e. a Greek city state, or a body of citizens with shared political institutions. That being said, your political community can exist in any time you chose. Students will compose a brief (3 double-spaced pages) essay describing your ideal political state or polis. Relying on your understanding of political science generally, and political philosophy specifically, creatively integrate the following ideas into your response. BE SURE TO CITE EXAMPLES, ETC. Operations are composed of many different processes to fulfill customer needs and requirements. The value chain is a higher-level view of those processes from a customer view. In order to meet customer requirements like quality and cycle time, organizations need to identify the value chain, subprocesses and measures needed to meet the customer needs.   
Consider a process from an organization you are familiar with. In 850-1200 words, complete the following:

Identify the steps in the high-level value chain required to fulfill the customer requirements from beginning to end. 
From the high-level value chain steps, identify the operational subprocesses.  
Identify those metrics that the organization should monitor at both the value chain level and subprocess level.  
Based upon the process you described above, if an organization needs to improve a process within the value chain, how would you analyze the process and metrics to know that the process is not working
Explain what steps the organization could take based upon your analysis for value chain improvement.  For a paper of this size, I would expect at least three references with matching in-text citations. I strongly suggest you use these resources.
