This is a creative project drawn from the embedded questions and background of this module, as well as your own insights into the poets. It is meant to be both fun and instructive. In other words, you should:
demonstrate what you have learned about these Modern poems and poets, and…
you should have a bit of fun writing a fictional dialogue to do so.
To demonstrate that you have read, studied, and understood poems by all of the assigned authors, make sure you do a bit of explication or analysis in your discussion. Use citation. In other words, make sure there is substance here, not just style. Creative projects are fun, but they can also be a way to demonstrate (better than, say, a text or essay) what you have absorbed and learned. There is a subtle art to good dialogue. Keep the focus on the poetical rather than the biographical, or create a sense of balance there. Feel free to work with friends in class to draft your piece and get some feedback from them or me anytime.
Warning: I may be a little more rigorous in my evaluation than I have been so far.
Prompt: You are sitting in a coffee house somewhere, eavesdropping on a conversation held at another table. Poets are discussing their craft and their concerns. Recreate this conversation. Choose THREE of your favorite poets from this module and create a dialogue between them. Use a script format so it is clear who says what. (Aim for a few pages or more. Do not be too brief)

/in /by adminWhen considering the relevance of social change with respect to social and emotional development, one can reflect on laws instituted by policymakers. As a practitioner in the field, being aware of the channels for communicating with civic leaders and knowing how to effectively use those channels are often important when working for social change. All institutions and groups—not just government entities—have their own politics, which can be thought of as a prevailing mind-set, an internal structure, and channels of influence and power. Being able to incorporate and negotiate these politics in support of social change requires finesse and sensitivity. Understanding this before engaging with others can be helpful, whether these others are legislators, local agencies and institutions, professional associations, neighborhoods, ad hoc teams, or professional colleagues. Power relationships also exist between those working for social change and those who are the primary beneficiaries. Mutual collaboration and power-sharing between the parties involved can empower all toward more lasting social change. The purpose of this Discussion is to consider potential policy implications of the research that has been covered in this course. To Prepare: Read the brief Social-Emotional Development in Early Childhood: What Every Policymaker Should Know from this week’s Learning Resources. Choose a current policy that could potentially be revised based on what you learned about social and emotional development in this course. By Day 4Post a response to the following:How do you think policymakers can and should take individual social and emotional development into consideration when writing policy? Briefly describe the policy you selected. Then explain how it could be revised based on what you learned about social and emotional development in this course. Be specific in your response, linking together current policy and current research in the area.

The team members recognize that cultural diversity plays a significant part in influencing organizational behavior. The leadership team decided to request that the Training and Development Manager create and oversee a training initiative for front-line and mid-level managers on managing diversity effectively. The training will focus on the different diversity elements, the challenges, and opportunities that can arise from employees with different cultural backgrounds. Leadership suggested an infographic as an informative approach to introducing the main training topics. An infographic is a visual representation of a complex concept. The visual graphic helps to explain the different elements that make up the concept and their relationship between the parts. As the Training and Development Manager, it is necessary to develop an overview of the training curriculum on leading a culturally diverse team. To begin your training curriculum, you will design an infographic. The infographic should be a visual representation of personal factors and their influence on individuals, groups, and organizations.InstructionsCreate an infographic that:Explains general factors related to a person’s background (Family, Culture, Language, Social, Education, Experiences, Beliefs, Values, and Motivations) that influence decision-makingCompares motivational theories that enhance culturally diverse teamsExamines types of leadership power and political factors that enhance culturally diverse teamsProvides attribution for credible references used in the development of content ideas following academic guidelinesAs always, please keep in mind who your audience is and use correct grammar and spelling

/in /by adminYour second response or critique of another student should be at least one to two paragraphs and do the following:state what you agree with; state what you might not agree with; and, add something else to the discussion. It is expected that you will be on your best netiquette when you respond to either my of other student’s responses.I believe that voting rights are being challenged and may violate the rights of certain humans. There has been a lot of talk lately of the voting bill recently passed in Georgia. Many, including myself, believe that this bill will suppress the black and Latino vote. Many of the polling stations in the neighborhoods of minorities have been shut down, while keeping other polling stations open. This is a clear form of voter suppression. Lawmakers believe that if they make it harder for a certain group of people to vote, that they won’t vote. I hope the effected group of people push forward to vote and get their voice heard. Another form of suppression is voter id. This again is intended to stop the vote of minority groups. Although having an ID is important, it is not readily available to someone how may not have the fees to pay for one, or lost their ID, don’t have a valid state issued ID, there could be many reasons. None of these reasons should stop a registered voter from exercising their right to vote. Not have the money to pay a fee to get an ID should not determine whether or not I vote. Registered voters should be able to vote without an ID. Last but not least, one of the most bizarre and borderline crazy laws that was passed, was not being able to give water to a voter standing in line. Really? How is rendering aid in the form of water have anything to do with voting? I will probably never understand the rationale behind that law and hope that it is eventually struck down, repealed or ignored. If I saw a grandma in line that needs water, I’ll definitely take my chances.Tamela Reply to Thread
solved I’m trying to study for my Literature course and I
/in /by adminI’m trying to study for my Literature course and I need some help to understand this question.
This reflection paper will focus on Professor Christine Whelan’s book The Big Picture. Your task is to work through the book, which combines readings and writing activities geared towards helping you better understand your purpose, and write a reflection on this experience.
Your reflection should have two parts:
Page One
A single spaced (Times New Roman, 12-point font, 1-inch margins) reflection on your experience working through the book. For your reflection, imagine that you are trying to encourage a friend of yours to start thinking about their purpose in life. How would you talk about your experience with this book in trying to persuade them? You are asked to both reflect on your personal experiences, but also to draw from things we’ve learned or discussed in class to support your points. You might consider sharing your thoughts on things such as:
Which parts of the book made the greatest impact on you and why?
Which parts were the most challenging and why?
If you could add something to the book what would it be?
If you could change an activity from the book, which would you change and why?
Why thinking about purpose matters, and how this book helps you do that?
How does The Big Picture relate to other things we know about happiness?
Any other relevant questions/reflections you had.
Page Two
A completed Big Picture Movie Reel (big picture movie reels.pdf). These can be found in the back of the book starting on page 222, in addition to the electronic copy on Canvas. In order to successfully complete the reel, you will need to have worked through the book to make sure you understand each of the different elements and how they all work together. Don’t forget to pick a theme song and tagline for your movie too! You are welcome to fill out by hand and upload an image along with your reflection, or fill it out electronically.
solved Halima, the owner and manager of a company with ten
/in /by adminHalima, the owner and manager of a company with ten employees, has hired you to take over the HRM function so she can focus on other areas of her business. During your first two weeks, you find out that the company has been greatly affected by the up economy and is expected to experience overall revenue growth by 10 percent over the next three years, with some quarters seeing growth as high as 30 percent. However, five of the ten workers are expected to retire within three years. These workers have been with the organization since the beginning and provide a unique historical perspective of the company. The other five workers are of diverse ages.
In addition to these changes, Halima believes they may be able to save costs by allowing employees to telecommute one to two days per week. She has some concerns about productivity if she allows employees to work from home. Despite these concerns, Halima has even considered closing down the physical office and making her company a virtual organization, but she wonders how such a major change will affect the ability to communicate and worker motivation.
Halima shares with you her thoughts about the costs of health care on the organization. She has considered cutting benefits entirely and having her employees work for her on a contract basis, instead of being full-time employees. She isn’t sure if this would be a good choice.
Halima schedules a meeting with you to discuss some of her thoughts. To prepare for the meeting, you perform research so you can impress your new boss with recommendations on the challenges presented.
Assignment Question(s):Â
Point out which changes are occurring in the business that affect HRM.
What are some considerations the company and HR should be aware of when making changes related to this case study?
What would the initial steps be to start planning for these changes?
What would your role be in implementing these changes? What would Halima’s role be?
solved #1. How important are a quality culture and a risk
/in /by admin#1. How important are a quality culture and a risk culture for effective organization management?#2. Discuss their relationship between quality management and customer satisfaction#3. Small to medium businesses are exposed to risks on a daily basis. The impact of these risks could cause a decrease in revenue and/or an increase in expenses. As we all know, every business is subject to risks at any time. The potential losses as a result of unmanaged risks could be catastrophic. Insurance policies can be purchased that can help protect businesses from risks caused by certain events and from risks to their employees’ personal security. You have been given the task of persuading your business’s board of directors to purchase insurance policies that will help manage the risks mentioned above. The insurance policies have already been chosen, but now you must explain the details of the insurance policies, including the contracts involved in the policies, to the board and convince the board that these policies really will protect the business from risks. In addition, you must describe what the terms in the insurance contracts mean and how they can be applicable to each business area.In order to this, you will need to create a portfolio document with the following sections::Define insurance and an insurance policy.Identify the two basic types of insurance.Describe how insurance policies can be used to protect the business from risks caused by certain events and from risks to their employees’ personal security while on the job.Define the four essential elements of a valid insurance contract: offer and acceptance, consideration, legal capacity, and purpose.Identify the common terms found in insurance contracts that specify exactly what risks an insurer will cover.Define catastrophe theory and how it differs from risk management principles.Discuss how catastrophe theory can be utilized by your organizations to manage and recover from risks.

/in /by adminPart one of the assignment introduces you to leadership in modeling. You will start by gaining a preliminary and high level understanding of descriptive and predictive modeling techniques as well as unsupervised and supervised segmentation, clustering and basic regression (don’t worry about the formulas or how they were derived). Then, based on your problem statement from week 2 as well as your analysis of the data and data preparation stages from week 3, you are to select a descriptive analytics modeling technique and explain how it will assist you in providing the hindsight needed to ensure that the team fully understands the business and the business problem. We are following CRISP-DM so it is assumed from previous assignments that you have an understanding of your business problem, a further understanding of the data, have an idea of how you will prepare the data, as well as how you will fit the model to the data. This part of the assignment should be no no longer than the equivalent of two double spaced pages.Part two of the assignment continues with the next phase of the CRISP-DM process where will you lead the analytics team from establishing good hindsight into “what happened” to foresight “what will happen”. For this part of the assignment, please describe what predictive analytics model or models you would use to address the business objectives and provide data products that top management can use to render strategic and tactical decisions? This week’s assignment will also provide you with the opportunity to provide assurances that you have the controls in place to tune your model to the data so that you will be ready for the evaluation and deployment phases of the analytics-based initiative, in line with the CRISP-DM model. What data issues do you foresee in the interaction between the data and the model? Remember that the data/model interchange is an iterative process and should be thoroughly tested before release.
